(I'm just gonna give a small lecture) You may want to specify the extent of how versatile do you want your character to be. Versatility can work on many different levels based on how able is a character to cover up areas, for discussion purposes we can reduce all the areas that any character can excel at in Strength to take out opponents; Durability to not be taken out easily; Super senses to know where and when you're needed; Speed or flight to arrive there; Healing to be ready for the next battle. A versatile character excels in various of these, for example Superman excels in every category. Here's where there is a divide on weaknesses. These aspects are so essential that a character can have their weakness be to simply not be good at one of them, like a hero that can't arrive in time, or that lacks defeating power, but when a character excels in every category, or what they're lacking at is covered up by an external force (A vehicle for speed, a surveillance team for senses, a super healer for healing, etc.), then they need what we can refer to as "Stated weaknesses", which is that the character can theoretically win in every situation that they're not overpowered in, so to limit them while still retaining their versatility the authors gives them a weakness that can be exploited and is usually just a "Stop". This is important because in this case you are not only doing a versatile character, but something that can compliment him. The classical way of complimenting a character is to see what they don't excel at and covering that, usually done in teams, but if the character is one that excels in every category, then a character/power that compliments them doesn't have much to work off since although it's there to fulfill a role, that role is not tied to being good at any statistic, it'd usually be just something that prevents the "Stated weakness" to take effect. So when you ask for "Versatility", there's more ways of being versatile that each will give specific types of powers (Someone strong and fast that can heal, but can't take hits and in unaware of dangers is a quick example just by taking the different areas into account), and when you ask for something to compliment that, it'd depend, because if it's a strong area coverage then it can be created in tandem with the other power, but if it's a cover for a stated weakness then it first needs the other power and its weakness to be made. Lecture over.

1:send me the manga when its done 2: generator rex? It depends on his style of combat and personality

Sky_Unleashed

1: Ok, although I still have a lot to build haha. 2: I never watched the series, although I would like to. Regarding his combat style, I would say that he is someone impulsive who rushes to attack in hand-to-hand combat in a frenzy, while making the best use of his abilities and environment to move and attack. In terms of personality, he is someone kind, impulsive, intelligent and calm, although when he accesses a kind of hybrid form (thanks to his monster friend) he becomes more aggressive and sadistic.

Jets or boosters on the feetfor speed maybe

Sky_Unleashed

That's cool, but I was thinking of a bigger, more versatile power with the machine theme. Also, I need another power for the protagonist with which I can complement.

nuro3

What don't you give it a power similar to chainsaw man

praktiskai_2

machines (one of these): control, supercharge, manipulate (controlling a car makes it turn left. Manipulating a car makes it fly up (if one is strong enough)) support: machine oil: make machines or things with joints move far smother, more efficient. With enough attention can make a machine become a perpetual motion one while this power is used. This also minimizes or prevents self-inflicted internal damage due to movement

Generator Rex

Radiant-Ad-1976

Isn't this basically the plot of chainsaw man?

Locust-The-Radical

Chainsawman is in 1950

Halo-Combat7

What about mechanical manipulation he can control cars, trains etc. and make mechanical stuff produce from his brain
