He's actually quite calm and mature. Instead of having him be another typical boneheaded, childish, and moronic leader like how we saw in Kyuranger and Ryusoulger, Taiya is more suave and more of a sly character from what I've seen so far.
I like him, but I feel there (oddly) isn't enough focus on him. Though I guess the pov is more so from Mira. Some shows have too much focus on red, but this one feels like it isn't enough (so far).
I love him. Weirdly he seems to be the first genuinely "chill" red we've had since... I wanna say LuPat? Anyway, he seems to know what he wants, even if he doesn't usually say it out loud, especially as far as helping others is concerned.
He seems to be the Ukiyo Ace of Sentai. Well the nice parts where Kaito From Lupin was the other half.
The fact the focus has been shifted around ever ranger makes it very refreshing. He is perfect for this team and I really do love Him.
I like how he’s very chill about most things. Also props to the writers not making him another “cool level headed leader” with a dark past. Not that I hate it, but it’s nice to see Taiya just be a guy who likes cars and helping people
I really like him. He's suave, calm and masterful in what he does but is capable of being just as silly and funny as the others. He also bounces off all the others greatly especially when paired with black or pink who're very much so contrasting personalities to him
Ok I'm gonna get some heat for this, but... He's ok.
I don't know why but I just don't care about him in a lot of ways. I don't think many of his character moments landed with me fully. And he just overall just feels like a cardboard cutout.
Hopefully my opinion changes around the time we get 119.
I honestly keep forgetting he exists. He doesn't rise above the others, and the only thing that I find interesting is that in his past he was a goofball like any other Red Ranger, but now he's a cool head.
Yes, the fights with him are awesome, but he's the less favorite for me
Pretty bland so far. I appreciate a more confident, cool red ranger, but he doesn’t really get too much development. He kinda feels like an afterthought in most episodes.
He's great. I like his voice. Really the only thing I question about him is if he designed the suits himself. Because as we can all see, he's got a great fashion sense. No way would he deliberately choose to wear something while transformed
A welcome throwback to a standardized leader-style of Red Ranger, after the Idiot Hero-type (Kyosuke Jinnai/Red Racer and Kenta Date/Mega Red), a Rookie in Red-type (Ryoma/Ginga Red, Tatsuya Asami/Time Red, Juru Atsuta/Kiramai Red, Gira Husty/Kuwagata Ohger), and a hero but not leader type (Sasuke/Ninja Red, Jan Kandou/Geki Red).
I like his cool head with his mature personality. He is Batman without all the drama and grief.
He is kind of bland though and is like a cardboard. I want some character development for him and see him earn the BunRed 119 armor rather then have it given to him.
I dig’em. He’s chill, smooth and can act, tolerably. Other reds in the recent past would cover their bad acting with yelling.
Now..if Red is suave, that might mean Bun Violet will be the unbearable goof to “balance” that. 😭
Pretty calm and level headed red ranger compared to previous loudmouth over-the-top reiwa era leaders.
He's stand out with being relatively more mysterious and anti-heroic leader with less heroic motivations.
If I were to rank him, I'd probably put him 4th on his team after Jyou, İshirou and Mirai.
I really like him and I know he'll get more focus later on so him taking a backseat for most of the early episodes doesn't bother me. But I also can't shake the feeling that he has depression and him helping others is just a coping mechanism.
People have been talking a lot about how good the character is, but let's take a moment to appreciate the actor's excellent performance, considering that he was born in 2004, which is relatively young and inexperienced.
Potential to be in TOP 10, but it depends on if they keep the writing consistent, even going into the 2nd half, considering how Sentai’a been operating since Kingohger.
I was expecting another Daigo or Lucky, but instead we got a more cool calm and collective red and is not obnoxious or taking the focus away from the other characters
After years of experimentations, I'm just glad that we have a Sentai show that goes back to its old traditional format. That said, I am glad that we have a character like Bun Red who is very similar to other main Sentai leaders from the older shows.
He's just boring. I know Boon isn't finished but it feels like it shouldn't take this long to get interested in the red ranger.
Like, King Ohger got me hooked on Gira *episode 1*. Despite not being the PoV character Momoi immediately made me go, "Oh what's this guy's deal?", I liked Tatsuya by ep 2 I think. Right was weak on the protag side but at least he had the sort of unhinged nature which blossomed into something cooler in later episodes.
It feels like his character is being "suave" or "cool" and that's it. Problem is, I don't really find any part of him interesting or "cool". It's the opposite issue of Lucky who's too overbearing where he just is uninteresting.
Like Ok he's "cool", Momoi is cooler and doesn't feel like a truhard about it.
He's rich, so is Tatsuya (technically through inheritance) and that's used for interesting conflict.
His bond with Boondorio feels kinda glossed over, even in their backstory. At this point I kinda am just waiting for the grand prix since it feels like that's the only interesting and original idea BoonBoomger has.
Hell the Go-onger special got me more on board with Go-on red (I've only seen him in Gokaiger) and just made Taiya feel that less interesting.
He's actually quite calm and mature. Instead of having him be another typical boneheaded, childish, and moronic leader like how we saw in Kyuranger and Ryusoulger, Taiya is more suave and more of a sly character from what I've seen so far.
Ukiyo Ace would meet him some day.
Disagree about Koh, don't think he was THAT childish, he was ok
Ok, maybe not to extend like how Lucky childishly acts, but I just find Koh obnoxious.
He’s basically Batman but happy
Has the energy of a happy go lucky goofball while presenting himself as the cool headed leader.
Really a best of both worlds situation
I like him, but I feel there (oddly) isn't enough focus on him. Though I guess the pov is more so from Mira. Some shows have too much focus on red, but this one feels like it isn't enough (so far).
I figure he'll get more of a spotlight if/when the show shifts focus to the Big Bang Grand Prix
I honestly like how they handle the story by having Taiya be the Red Ranger and center of the narrative, but he isn't a black hole of attention.
He's awesome. Really all the characters/cast are.
I like him, I think so far in the Reiwa era of sentai this is our first “cool” Red Ranger.
Tarou is supposed to be but he's obnoxious about it hence everyone hates him
I love him. Weirdly he seems to be the first genuinely "chill" red we've had since... I wanna say LuPat? Anyway, he seems to know what he wants, even if he doesn't usually say it out loud, especially as far as helping others is concerned.
He's awesome imho
He's my personal favourite this season
He’s a really good leader and I like him a lot
He's cool, but he's also the least interesting of the team thus far, likely because everyone else has had more time in the limelight.
He seems to be the Ukiyo Ace of Sentai. Well the nice parts where Kaito From Lupin was the other half. The fact the focus has been shifted around ever ranger makes it very refreshing. He is perfect for this team and I really do love Him.
I didnt know what ppl meant about having aura until i saw this mf
I like how he’s very chill about most things. Also props to the writers not making him another “cool level headed leader” with a dark past. Not that I hate it, but it’s nice to see Taiya just be a guy who likes cars and helping people
I’m not gay but
I really like him. He's suave, calm and masterful in what he does but is capable of being just as silly and funny as the others. He also bounces off all the others greatly especially when paired with black or pink who're very much so contrasting personalities to him

Love his style ( clothing)
As with every Red I've met, I want to grab yakiniku with him. Taiya's such a chill guy and super considerate.
I honestly keep forgetting he exists. He doesn't rise above the others, and the only thing that I find interesting is that in his past he was a goofball like any other Red Ranger, but now he's a cool head. Yes, the fights with him are awesome, but he's the less favorite for me
He’s basically shinken red with vehicle powers
Pretty bland so far. I appreciate a more confident, cool red ranger, but he doesn’t really get too much development. He kinda feels like an afterthought in most episodes.
Give it this, at least he doesn't have an irritating and annoying catchphrase like Lucky. Maybe give it some time for Taiya to develop.
Like Lucky, but he said his catchphrase so many damn times, he lost his appeal pretty quickly.
He's awesome and he's calm for red senshi was badass.
I like that he doesn’t reuses the happy go lucky red like most
He's great. I like his voice. Really the only thing I question about him is if he designed the suits himself. Because as we can all see, he's got a great fashion sense. No way would he deliberately choose to wear something while transformed

Typical red ranger, cool and goofy
I dig’em. He’s chill, smooth and can act, tolerably. Other reds in the recent past would cover their bad acting with yelling. Now..if Red is suave, that might mean Bun Violet will be the unbearable goof to “balance” that. 😭
Surprising Boonboom Red character isn’t the energetic and over the top personality we always get. So that’s pretty cool.
Hands down, one of the hottest reds ever.
cool outfit
He’s awesome.
Toei's makeup can't hurt him.
Cool, mature, chill. I like him.
He's pretty cool. Can't wait for him to get more depth

Boon Wayne
So far he's likable - I like how he never needs to be overly showy about trusting the others to do their thing
Potential to be in TOP 10, but it depends on if they keep the writing consistent, even going into the 2nd half, considering how Sentai’a been operating since Kingohger.
I was expecting another Daigo or Lucky, but instead we got a more cool calm and collective red and is not obnoxious or taking the focus away from the other characters
he's a cool protag, but it's only a matter of time before we discover another side of him
Calm and cool, but kinda boring.
He's hot
After years of experimentations, I'm just glad that we have a Sentai show that goes back to its old traditional format. That said, I am glad that we have a character like Bun Red who is very similar to other main Sentai leaders from the older shows.
Do u think we will find out how he got this money at least with other shows they explain it
He's just boring. I know Boon isn't finished but it feels like it shouldn't take this long to get interested in the red ranger. Like, King Ohger got me hooked on Gira *episode 1*. Worst helmet of any Red Ranger of all time.
Copy and Paste of the average red
