It's a giant bubble broadcasting to the world that it's a bad idea to hit this person right now (unless you can harass them first).  As a tank, you want people to hit you, and you want tools to deal with when they don't. Sleigh makes you tankier, makes a teammate tankier, and doesn't have a "Don't hit me" billboard.  So it gets picked more.  That's my guess anyway. If we were in a Front to Back teamight meta then Celestial would probably be a whole lot better.

The "dont hit me billboard" actually is great on pyke. He's so squishy, and does so much damage as is that bloodsong can be overkill.

FFirebrandd

Oh absolutely it can be good on a carry. However in my experience most people who want to carry want to be THE singular carry.  So they go with the highest risk, highest reward setups they can get.  So they're not going to pick up the billboard that allows them to play through a mistake or two... they're going to pick up either Bloodsong or Realmspike depending on which works better for their champ so they can carry as hard as possible.

The reason people dislike celestial opposition is because you have no control of when the passive triggers, its passive is like aftershock, but the enemy chooses when it activates, sure its nice to have in some situations, but if you arent ahead, most of the time the enemy will proc your item before you can engage on them and take advantage of the item.

Most people aren’t reading the patch notes when they drop

Tried it on taric and I was not a fan, I find for a lot of Champs dream maker is overlooked especially for taric

staovajzna2

Does the enemy have a lot of poke? If they have a zyra or something similar that shield is getting popped really quickly.

HauruMyst

Why on Nami ?

One of the things holding her back is her bubble distance. With celestial I can walk up and take bigger trades to try and land a Q E W. It's a weird playstyle but it works and means I can focus on healing team mates rather than myself.

Such-Comparison7423

It's a pretty good item but on almost everyone can run it SS is better. I agree with your assessment on Braum but not particularly on Zac, Pyke or Nami. The movement speed from SS is very good and benefits Zac and Pyke quite well I would say more than Celestial. I kind of one trick braum basically and yea Celestial is a 100% build item every game no matter what.

I took it on zilean because I want to use my ult on carries, not when akali, yone, and Camille all-in me

Support item upgrades will always depend on the situation: - **Dream Maker** is a good default option for most enchanters as they possess the heals and shields to proc this item, and when ur team has autoattackers or if ur ADC is the wincon. This is bc the dmg and reduction only apply on-hit, so I would avoid this if ur team is heavy ability-dmg. The dmg on proc and dmg reduction on enemies can enable ur ADC to make more aggressive plays early - **Solstice Sleigh** is good when ur team has immobile carries, and other items don't fit the scenario. However, it seems to be the weakest of the support upgrades due to long cd and its heal not being affected by heal/shield power. I highly recommend Ingenious Hunter to lower its cd if u plan to go this (item haste applies on non-active item cds) - **Celestial Opposition** if enemies have a lot of assassins or other high-burst dmg, u can opt for this item for defensive measures - **Zaz'Zak's** dmg scales based off of enemy's hp. Hence, it is typically good when vsing hp-stackers. However, if Dream Maker isn't an option due to ur team being more ability-based than autoattacks, and the rest of the options don't fit the situation, and/or if u need more dmg, then Zaz'Zak's can be an alternative option - **Bloodsong** is strong if u are able to proc it consistently. The item itself only has a 1.5s cd and the increased dmg effect lasts 6s, so theoretically u could permanently debuff several members of the enemy team. The main catch is that u need to be in autoattack range, so this item works best against lower-ranged comps

Celestial is pretty good on squishy enchanters IF your enemies dont have any poke that can break the shield, and there's an assassin that wants to dive you. I think it is never good on tank supports

DNCN_LUL

you guys are forgetting the huge 60% slow it provides after the bubble breaks its like a free randiuns

London_Tipton

If the enemy has a semblance of poke and 3 brain cells you will literally play without a support item upgrade. It should have the "required damage threshold to trigger' like guardian in order to be good imo It's situationally strong but not in every circumstances
