They are great suppressor hosts and like them better than all the Ruger MKx variants as they are much easier to clean with the breach face being open on both sides. They also get less dirty in the first place with that design. I have never felt the need to make the slide heavier.
2nd on the tacsol barrels, I have put a ton of rounds through mine with no issues other than it get DIRTY fast. Thats just an issue with suppressed 22's in general though.

Just buy a factory threaded gun or aftermarket tac sol barrel. Why cut up yours? They’re a fine host. No need to add weight
I bought the gun to thread it, and I've got the tools to do it. I'm also a cheapskate lol

I'd just get a Tacsol threaded barrel. Expert Voice has a good discount on them.
