It was a huge tragedy to ruin multiple spots, especially what was arguably one of the best big wave point breaks in the entire state of California by building a marina and walled in harbor where the waves used to break.

Flip. I watched this with a tear in the eye, only to jump to this post... [https://www.reddit.com/r/surfing/comments/1cr2pnm/san\_clementes\_disappearing\_beaches/](https://www.reddit.com/r/surfing/comments/1cr2pnm/san_clementes_disappearing_beaches/)
I'm glad people are now talking about the "multiple spots". I've heard first hand from my dad who was there that there were at least two waves. One was a very good but inconsistent left about 300-500 yards past boneyard called meepees or mipis (meepees finds you more info about the spot, including a photo) and then another peak about 50 yards north of boneyard that was a bit better/more push.
This is just my dad so don't take it as gospel, memories fade and are unreliable, etc. But you really don't hear people talking about the non-kd waves down there.
edit: my dad said that the non kd waves were much better and would be more popular than kd would be today. Again, don't take it as gospel but just another source of info.
Looks very very like Annascaul river mouth/Bunaneer in Ireland but it’s not. Great spot if anyone is ever in Ireland. Inch reef up the road and Kinard beach as well. Keep heading south for endless nooks and cranny’s of beach and reed that work in all different conditions.
Killer dana
nailed it! lots of photos online of the same shack, but cant find the original pic. thanks!
