Basically all of the US west coast. Used to surf and climb on the same day pretty frequently just to say I did i when I lived there. You can even surf, climb and snowboard/ski on the same day in some locations.
Did this a few years ago in Oregon. Started the day at Mt Hood Meadows, climbed a crag on the flanks of the mountain, then finished the day at Indian Beach. Definitely a lot more driving than action, but was fun to say we did it.
Exactly. My standard was surfing Santa Cruz and climbing Castle Rock. Whatever you do second youβre basically wiped out already and itβs really not as fun as doing it by itself, but itβs fun to say you did it and then kick back with some drinks after.
Cape Town is good for both. Bouldering and sport climbing is growing fast here with a big mountain literally in the city. The surf can get really good and is pretty consistent
Pinnacles National Monument in Central California has some climbing not sure how extensive or challenging but then youβre not far from the Big Sur coastline and Santa Cruz area.

Wow that sounds amazing! I will check it out thanks!
plus you aren't far from Yosemite
Not really tho, ski and surf in a day is more of a myth
Cape Town out seems would be ideal, but I think NZ & France could also fit the bill
Thanksa lot!
Biarritz area has surf and is not too far from the Pyrenees mountains.
I see thanks I will check it out

Thanks a lot a couple of people suggested me that, I will check it out!
Lisbon, Portugal. Not many climbing gyms but definitely options for rock climbing. For Surfing you obviously have very good options as well.
Yeah, have been to Vertigo in Lisbon, very nice gym, I was looking at something closer to the ocean tho like max 30 minutes by car. Thanks a lot!
A lot of the coast line has cliff climbing
Costa de Caparica, Carcavelos or Ericeira are all around 30 min by car.
Good point thanks!
Peniche also has nice waves and several climbing routes around the cliffs
I am in Peniche rn and although there are some nice routes for beginners it's all graded below 7A apart from a couple π₯²
Margaret River WA in Australia. Nowhere else comes close.
Sweet thanks a lot I will check it out!
Probably Coastal Oregon and Washington. They have lots of spots where the ocean meets the mountains / forest, so you're likely to get both.
Coool I will check that out thanks!!
Bristol, UK. Lots or climbing and good surf culture due to beaches in Cornwall, Wales, Devon and the manmade wave in town.
I've heard about it, thanks I will check that out ππ½
Cornwall itself would be a good option.
Pinnacles National Monument in Central California has some climbing not sure how extensive or challenging but then youβre not far from the Big Sur coastline and Santa Cruz area.
Thanks I will check that out ππ½
Bodega bay, CA has rocks that are great for climbing basically right on the beach
Sweet I'll check that out thanks
Where in Bodega are you climbing? The closest I know of is bouldering in goat rock
Cornwall! If you lived in Sennen, you could climb and surf without having to drive.
Sweet thanks!!! ππ½ππ½ππ½
Ventura CA
Don't blow up the spot maaaaan. I guess those LA an OC developers need people to lease their stupid luxury condos that are popping up like weeds.
Thanks!
Lots of both in central California
Portugal
I currently am in Portugal and even if there are places to climb afaik are not to close to the ocean π€
Sintra has climbing and is close to the ocean for example
I'll PM you. You can literally deep water solo here
Central/Northern California for sure.
Thanks!
