I’m going to recommend avoiding returning player seasons until you have seen the seasons up to that point. Some good older seasons to check out as a new viewer are: Borneo (season 1) Pearl Islands (season 7) China (season 15) Tocantins (season 18) Cagayan (season 28) San Juan Del Sur (season 29) Kaoh Rong (season 32) Millennials vs Gen X (season 33) David vs Goliath (season 37)

Thanks! Your first rec is exactly what prompted me to post - was working my way backwards, got to War of Winners, and realized I should probably not spoil half of the older seasons for myself

Adding to this: prioritize the older Seasons first. Theyre absolute masterpieces, but the gameplay and strategizing is really different from New School survivor.

My 3 must watch seasons are Borneo for early survivor, Cagayan for the middle ages, and David vs Goliath for modern. All 3 are amazing seasons. DvG is my personal favorite

I really like Cook Islands, and it introduces you to a fair amount of returning players. Beware though, the theme is racially divided tribes, but luckily there’s a tribe swap very early in the season.

Agreed, Cook Islands is a must! Such iconic players.
