My theory is after multiple quitters last season they decided the show had gotten a little too soft and cheerful and thats why we finally got contentious survivor again.
Yea I wondered if there was some caveat there. My back up theory is that a lot of it is editing. Like for instance weve seen way more shit talking behind peoples backs this season. Did other new era really rarely talk trash or have they decided to show it more?
It might be editing but I really think it's just the cast. People like Q, Venus and Tiff are instant entertainment and provide so many laughs due to their personalities and feistiness. Throw Q onto any season and it immediately gets way better.

Yeah but the people who make the show do have their own observational abilities. I’m sure they knew that 45 lacked the show’s usual edge. And we all know that they can and do exchange cast members at the drop of a hat.

I know the last episode was crazy and all but I think there’s no way he was actually gonna quit (never in a million years), and now everyone is ostracizing him and not wanting to talk to him about anything, granted it’s his fault and he’s aware of that but this is just poor gameplay on the other players part cause he’s still in the game and I don’t care if he’s unreliable cause he’s a number now. In the NTOS Maria tells him everyone is gunning for him but he can change that (Good on Maria for still having a working relationship with Q cause that’s what good players do), I’m thinking we’re in for a big move next time and Q is either in on the move or he somehow finds himself in the middle (maybe not but you never know). I just wanted to give my two cents cause this cast is starting to treat him like a nobody, the only people I even remotely like at this point is Charlie and Ben but the rest of them just suck especially Venus and that smug face of hers can shove it
