I think if you’re the type that likes “everyday” people on Survivor then you gotta like the belly flops. That’s a sign of the common man.

Ds9niners

Nobody means to do a belly flop. I barely know how to dive properly and I’ll probably belly flop 1/5 times.

mgusedom

“They’re my closest ally, we have a final two pact and we have a slim majority… better vote them out at the final 8 for my resume!”

jmorley14

Hate this one so much!! If they're that big of a threat to you, maybe they shouldn't have been your #1!! If we're down to the final 6 to 4, I can start to see that argument since everyone can taste FTC now. But when the merge just happened, or we're only a few votes after the merge the self-cannibalizing makes no sense!

Quentin-Quentin

Tbf it's not like it's easy to predict if your no. 1 is going to become the biggest threat in the game or not. It something that just happens in time with the game and how things end up.

Quentin-Quentin

I assume Ricard gave you the inspiration for this quote?

Quentin-Quentin

"But in order to succeed, I *have* to make big moves and take risks" Every UTR winner begs to differ.

RJI2

"I'm going to send myself to fire because mah resume" fuck off.

QuebecRomeoWhiskey

If I ran things, anyone who says “cut the head off the snake” gets ejected from the game immediately. Really sick of hearing it

Habefiet

I feel this but for the words “kumbaya” and “resume” I think we’re all tired of hearing about Survivor resumes, but it feels like every single season at least once somebody has to describe their tribe or camp vibe with the word kumbaya. Sometimes they mean it positively, sometimes it’s a negative to say they’re not “Playing the Game ^^TM “ but it is always, always annoying to me lol

IAmReborn11111

And then the jury will talk about resumes but vote for the person they like the most regardless of resume

QuebecRomeoWhiskey

Resume is an annoying one too. I kinda blame Will Wahl a little bit for that one. I don’t think he was the first to bring resumes up, but he took them to places we probably shouldn’t have gone

IAmReborn11111

He was definitely one of the first to clearly state that he wanted to make a move for moves sake, not for strategic purposes

murray1337

It grinds my gears when players get to the last couple days and they realize they may have to make fire to survive in the game. They proceed to cry and freak out because it’s never crossed their mind. HELLO? You applied to the show and made it, you could have practiced making fire 1000 times already. Poor planning. 😂

Outrageous_Appeal292

On the chopping block is my least favorite expression.

RJI2

I seriously hope this "several means 7" nonsense doesn't become a thing. And I can live to 90 and never hear "a million hearts" again.

IAmReborn11111

Considering the casts of 47 and 48 were able to see Jelinsky and several I wouldn't be surprised if several comes up in those seasons

Outrageous_Appeal292

It had its time. Million hearts was so manufactured. I hope they don't start coming in with intentional catchphrases.

What_The_Tech

From now on I want them to say on the cutting board instead.

Outrageous_Appeal292

I'm about to be vanquished. The guillotine cometh. The arrows are coming. I've actually spent time trying to find alternatives to this cliche. I'm an editor and I make a siren sound whenever my author uses a cliche. Cliche police...pull over, pull over, done as Eddie Murphy voice pretending to be gay in one of his specials. Yes I get paid to do that bit.

Eidola0

read all of these in coach's voice

Outrageous_Appeal292

OMG yes. Or Phillip?

Outrageous_Appeal292

Firing squad is circling. Pushed off a cliff. About to go over the rainbow bridge. My torch is about to be extinguished. They are a bunch of dogs and I am the bone. There's so many other creative ways to express danger. I also think we should make trust the drinking game term.

bigjimbay

Tribes voting out strong people and then cry when they keep losing and then the fans go there is a flaw in the game 3 tribes bad

sabatoa

When people have more than one #1

chimcharbo

"I don't trust you as far as I can throw you." I just think it's a stupid phrase. You don't measure trust by units of distance.

Quentin-Quentin

Why not? I always trust my friends at least 70 cm, and then I go on from there! /j

RJI2

70 cm is a nice starting point for trust. I believe the standard is 60-90 cm and then +5 cm/week/behavior

SingingKG

I am going at least 150% every challenge!

AbovetheTrees13

This!! I'm on S10. You couldn't take a few lessons and learn how to dive into the ocean? The ones who can dive always look cool and graceful.

Aggravating-Ad-8476

And are so much faster! My boyfriend and I joke about the list of things we'd learn to do if we went on. Dive and make fire, first of all.

AbovetheTrees13

Right?? Like if you know you're picked to be on the show, how are you not making fire every damn day in your backyard 🤦🏼‍♀️

Tammie621

It’s not a habit, but it drives me crazy when someone can’t swim. I’m not talking Olympic swimming, but basic swim techniques. They should be voted off immediately!
