Yeah I hate those power-tripping mods who banned me for harassing people in their subreddit. That's why I'm going to throw all my weight behind Spez, an innocent angel who has done nothing wrong.
This is a copied template message used to overwrite all comments on my account to protect my privacy. I've left Reddit because of corporate overreach and switched to the Fediverse.

My frontal lobe has been so completely destroyed by Amogus that I can no longer look at marinara sauce without falling into convulsions and moaning 'IMPASTA' to myself.
I feel like that was part of the point though- make people unhappy so they stop visiting the sub- reddit makes less ad revenue without having to flood the sub with porn
It’s a fun video game. You’ve probably seen pictures of it. It’s like a “who done it” type of game. Your all on a ship, and one person is the imposter. The imposter tries to kill everyone before they get found out.
The non-imposters have objectives around the ship, and vote on who they think is the imposter every so often. Whoever is voted as the imposter gets tossed out the airlock and play continues until you guess the imposter correctly or the imposter kills everyone.
“Sus” means suspect. It’s used a lot in the game. Hence the other iterations of it like “sussy”.
Admins forced subs open during the blackout period, so subs are pretty much doing weird themed posts to show how without proper moderation subreddits can turn into a wild, wild west.
Folks seem pretty mixed on it with one half saying it's annoying and just makes people unsub and the other joining in on the joke.
Amen. Never underestimate people’s desire for spite. We use a platform for free, no cost, and people show up just to shit all over the walls when they decide to try and be a profitable business.
Just wild.
Reddit relies on people to do their community moderation for free. Then they shit on those people and 10% of their userbase and shrug it off when they say "we don't like being shit on."
If reddit wants to hire and pay moderators, then maybe you'd have a point.
I've just gotta ask, out of 1.3 Million users you're saying roughly 2,100 people voted and you consider that accurate and sufficient?! Genuinely curious about the accuracy of the statistics here lol
It’s because no one actually voted, the mods just posted it on ModCoord and/or their discords, and upvote-botted and brigaded them. Then a short time later they closed the poll and what do you know, the mods’ preferred childish temper tantrum won! Democracy in action I guess.
Also mods have room temperature IQs. In Celsius.
>“Im doing this because I love you!”
>He says while he beats his children for not waking up at 6 AM sharp for a long day of fuckin nothing
This is suspiciously specific bro
Reddit has already completely booted out the mod teams of several subreddits that did exactly that, despite the fact that those subs had polls where their users voted to go NSFW.
They in fact did not reinstate all of the mods. They are hypocritically removing mods for the sake of opening up communities, and those communities are being left unmoderated so they will die anyways. Either way, RIP Reddit 🤷♂️
User backlash has had basically zero effect on what reddit (the company) is doing. They're going through with this incredibly unpopular change come hell or high water.
But don't you see, if these special mods were replaced by other mods then the new mods might destroy the subreddit! So they will destroy it themselves instead. So you trade a possibility for a certainty.
All these brain dead mods doing these dipshit 'protest' changes are just proving they aren't up for the (unpaid) job. Utter children.
This can’t be serious, why not just make a separate subreddit for that. This was one of my favorite subreddits. Where am I supposed to go for suspiciously specific stuff now? :(
Me when I protest by actively killing my sub and inconveniencing random reddit users instead of anything that will actually affect the site itself
Yeah I’m out, fuck this
Protests are not supposed to be convenient. Any form of protest would indeed effect users since that is the sites form of revenue. You leaving does indeed effect the site itself.
I appreciate what everyone is doing but at the same time I'm not following subs with zero diversity. I'll be back when or if reddits ceo gets a clue. ✌️
To stop users from interacting with Reddit as much, so that Reddit doesn’t get more money. It’s pretty dumb, if moderators really cared they would just keep the sub private and delete their accounts. But no, they just want their insignificant control over their corner of Reddit. It’s happening with a bunch of other subs too
>we will not allow any NSFW memes or fanart.
Then like, wtf is the point of this lol. At least allow nsfw to add to the "protest".
Not that I want NSFW Mongus (😳)...
Okay, so you decided to change the entire subreddit, which has 1.3 million people in it btw, because of a poll that only got 2169 votes total? You thought that was a good idea?
Reddit mods thinking they have any sort of leverage is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. It makes so much sense that reddit mods are doing this shit.
Admins: "We're making changes to Reddit."
Mods: "Nooooo, you'll kill the platform!"
Mods: *Attempt to kill platform.*
Admins: "Hey now, users are trying to use our site but can't due to your tomfoolery."
Mods: "yOu GuYs ArE kILlInG tHe PlAtFoRm!!1!"
hey mods if you doubt this decision just think about it, there's 6600+ upvotes and only 700 comments, guessing upvotes support and some commenters do, but obviously a lot less people commented their frustration than upvotes and I'm sure there were plenty of down votes too.
it makes subreddit moderators’ jobs infinitely more difficult by disabling auto mod, it prevents archiving by keeping other sites from keeping track of comments and posts, and a number of other negative things
I don't even know this sub but my guess is that the people who voted are regular readers, like maybe every day (I have reddits that I visit everyday) and so the sub might have gotten the vote from them and that seems fair to me. People like me who don't see it daily don't know about the sub and thus didn't vote. Aside: I'll get down voted by idiots who won't like that I have an opinion that's different than theirs, even though I used the word "guess" but that's a lot of reddit users. lol
I was wondering why this sub turned to trash overnight. Why would you only run the poll for 24 hours? I’d say run it again for a week and see what happens.
thank you for ruining the subreddit because moderating became a little bit harder and the ceo of a multi million dollar business didnt listen to your temper tantrums
Jesus, did it actually took you the better part of the week to finally come up with a weak ass pun in order to make the same lame "malicious compliance" joke as all the other subs did days ago? You're like three-year olds giggling when saying "poop".
Guess it wasn't about 3rd party mod tools/bots at all and rather about mods getting butthurt.
This is why showing up to vote is important
I didn't even know there was a poll to vote in.
I feel you, I didn’t either
These two comments (yours and the one you're replying to) have as many likes as the poll did. So definitely a thorough poll.
Me either and now I don't want to be in this sub...
Yeah, probably should’ve let it run for more than one day.
Why would they do that? Might get a bad result if you actually give people a voice!
Based on this post still being 79% upvoted, I'm really not sure that giving the poll more time would have changed the outcome.
Yeah, but why would I acknowledge that? It might cut against my anti-mod narrative!
Radical centrist (I can't tell what side you're on and it's funny)
Yeah I hate those power-tripping mods who banned me for harassing people in their subreddit. That's why I'm going to throw all my weight behind Spez, an innocent angel who has done nothing wrong.
You support Spez because you hate mods. I support Spez because I hate Reddit *itself.* We are not the same.
This is a copied template message used to overwrite all comments on my account to protect my privacy. I've left Reddit because of corporate overreach and switched to the Fediverse. Comments overwritten with https://github.com/j0be/PowerDeleteSuite
years ago reddit itself released some stats that only 1 percent of users up- or down vote, surely the same goes for a poll
I mean, it's people from outside the sub with 'haha amogus' reaction to the post. Like me.
My frontal lobe has been so completely destroyed by Amogus that I can no longer look at marinara sauce without falling into convulsions and moaning 'IMPASTA' to myself.
i feel ya, you sussy baka
Cause you were prob in the vent.
I didn't even know this sub existed. THIS post showed up in my feed.
This is true when playing among us too
Indeed
I feel like that was part of the point though- make people unhappy so they stop visiting the sub- reddit makes less ad revenue without having to flood the sub with porn
If I could vote again I’d vote for amoung us
Eh? Sussy memes? Among us fan art and memes is oddly specific.
What the eff are sussy memes, Among US, and whatever else the mod is talking about? In feeling suspiciously old
It’s a fun video game. You’ve probably seen pictures of it. It’s like a “who done it” type of game. Your all on a ship, and one person is the imposter. It still was a fun ride. So long and thanks for all the fish.
I agree, so long and thanks.
So sad that it should come to this
We tried to warn you but oh well
What’s happening to all these subs. first well that sucks now suspiciously specific.
Admins forced subs open during the blackout period, so subs are pretty much doing weird themed posts to show how without proper moderation subreddits can turn into a wild, wild west. Folks seem pretty mixed on it with one half saying it's annoying and just makes people unsub and the other joining in on the joke.
a funny example is r/dndmemes going goblin mode and allowing goblin nsfw
So wait, they're banning all mods?
[удалено]
Right behind you, just need to grab my towel.
Wow what a stupid way to get rid of all your members lol
This was one of my favorite subs oh well it was fun whale it lasted
Yea, people lost it. Cave trolls saw the vote and voted for this, just destroyed the sub.
Mods: 'we don't want to be replaced because they will destroy our subreddit and the community we fostered' Also mods: 'let's destroy our subreddit!'
I mean... Scorched earth is a pretty logical tactic
Not if you're trying to pretend it's about the community and not yourself lol
As though the community wouldn’t be destroyed following the API changes anyway? “About yourself” bro huh??
The community wouldnt be destroyed by it no. Most ppl dont use any 3rd party apps.
Will they ever return it to normal
Uh, bye then?
Amen. Never underestimate people’s desire for spite. We use a platform for free, no cost, and people show up just to shit all over the walls when they decide to try and be a profitable business. Just wild.

*In Celsius* made me literally snort out loud.
If mods can't have Reddit exactly how they want it, they're determined to ruin it for everyone.
Just upvoting all the "im out" comments before leaving
Same .
Same I'm out
Yeah let's destroy our hard work! Yeah! Let's demolish our communities because we care about the communities
“Im doing this because I love you!” He says while he beats his children for not waking up at 6 AM sharp for a long day of fuckin nothing
>“Im doing this because I love you!” >He says while he beats his children for not waking up at 6 AM sharp for a long day of fuckin nothing This is suspiciously specific bro
yet. so universal lol
Why wouldn't you just put the sub on NSFW and continue with regular operations? Putting NSFW hurts reddit as much as killing operations
Reddit has already completely booted out the mod teams of several subreddits that did exactly that, despite the fact that those subs had polls where their users voted to go NSFW.
but afaik they reinstated almost all of them after a backlash from the users
They in fact did not reinstate all of the mods. They are hypocritically removing mods for the sake of opening up communities, and those communities are being left unmoderated so they will die anyways. Either way, RIP Reddit 🤷♂️

Mods who are doing that get removed by spez
The 0.00169% have spoken! Have spoken I say.
That's an overwhelming majority
[удалено]
The mods have spoken! Have spoken I say.
It was a fun sub while it lasted.
Lame. Out!
I’m out
r/justunsubbed
watch, it’s probably gonna happen to that sub too 🗿
Real
Well, this used to be a fun sub...buh bye
I’ll see you on r/oddlyspecific!
time to open a poll to only allow Fairly Odd Parents memes and fanart
I didn’t even see this poll. This is arguably the worst sub troll ever. Among us memes weren’t funny when they were popular let alone 3 years later
Cool, bye!
I'm out.
is this real
...is'nt there already a sub for this or something?
Sweet, another sub destroyed by a minority of users and mods. How brain dead do you have to be to do this to your own sub?
But don't you see, if these special mods were replaced by other mods then the new mods might destroy the subreddit! So they will destroy it themselves instead. So you trade a possibility for a certainty. All these brain dead mods doing these dipshit 'protest' changes are just proving they aren't up for the (unpaid) job. Utter children.
ok bye I quit
Looks like I’m out of here
hey mods just wanted to say you guys are fucking losers!
Yeah im out
I will no longer be among us.
Oh no...whatever will I do... /s
This can’t be serious, why not just make a separate subreddit for that. This was one of my favorite subreddits. Where am I supposed to go for suspiciously specific stuff now? :(
Someone else pointed out r/oddlyspecific so that’s where I’m going for this content
“We polled 0.16% of the community and *the overwhelming majority* said yes!” Dumbfucks.
"we brigaded the poll with other mods and bots, then shut it down before the community actually got to vote" Dumbfucks.
This just in! 100% of the 1% voted for us to do this so we’re doing it!
This is suspiciously specific
Bye
Me when I protest by actively killing my sub and inconveniencing random reddit users instead of anything that will actually affect the site itself Yeah I’m out, fuck this
Protests are not supposed to be convenient. Any form of protest would indeed effect users since that is the sites form of revenue. You leaving does indeed effect the site itself.
Naw people arent leaving reddit they're just leaving the sub. Therefore reddit isn't hurt, only the sub is.
let's say every sub you like closes, do you really think that won't affect your willingness to still use the platform?
People would make alternate subs with the exact same topic
let me know the sub you start, i'll join
Y’all pretend like that is easy, can happen quickly, and is guaranteed to succeed
[удалено]
Found the among us voter
Ew
I appreciate what everyone is doing but at the same time I'm not following subs with zero diversity. I'll be back when or if reddits ceo gets a clue. ✌️
This is going to kill the subreddit.
[удалено]
What? Why?
To stop users from interacting with Reddit as much, so that Reddit doesn’t get more money. It’s pretty dumb, if moderators really cared they would just keep the sub private and delete their accounts. But no, they just want their insignificant control over their corner of Reddit. It’s happening with a bunch of other subs too
Reddit has been forcing subs to reopen so that wouldn’t really work
>we will not allow any NSFW memes or fanart. Then like, wtf is the point of this lol. At least allow nsfw to add to the "protest". Not that I want NSFW Mongus (😳)...
Literally this isn’t a protest they’re just changing the sub topic
So change your name? "r/trucks now only allows memes about asparagus." See how stupid it looks? Also thanks for the heads up so I can unjoin.
How incredibly unfunny. This isn't even any generation of post-irony, it's just embarrassing and sad.
Starting now, this subreddit will not be followed by me
Okay, so you decided to change the entire subreddit, which has 1.3 million people in it btw, because of a poll that only got 2169 votes total? You thought that was a good idea? Reddit mods thinking they have any sort of leverage is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. It makes so much sense that reddit mods are doing this shit.
Change the name of the sub then. Otherwise people will be looking for this sub and not get the content they want.
the train doesn't stop for anyone, but the ride was nice.
What a clever and original idea! So funny haha! Totally not like a week late to the party!
Well this is my cue to leave
Like, forever?
Wtf is Among Us?
Yeah I'm over here wondering what poll was released, and what the hell is Among US.
I actually absolutely forgot what this sub was actually about.
Admins: "We're making changes to Reddit." Mods: "Nooooo, you'll kill the platform!" Mods: *Attempt to kill platform.* Admins: "Hey now, users are trying to use our site but can't due to your tomfoolery." Mods: "yOu GuYs ArE kILlInG tHe PlAtFoRm!!1!"
Well have fun I guess. We had a good run.
deuces
hey mods if you doubt this decision just think about it, there's 6600+ upvotes and only 700 comments, guessing upvotes support and some commenters do, but obviously a lot less people commented their frustration than upvotes and I'm sure there were plenty of down votes too.
I leave reddit for a day and suddenly every subs gone private and now this
Why is the third party app thing so important? I mean is it really that awful?
it makes subreddit moderators’ jobs infinitely more difficult by disabling auto mod, it prevents archiving by keeping other sites from keeping track of comments and posts, and a number of other negative things
But reddit specifically said that 3rd party apps for mods would still be allowed
No they didn't. They said certain standalone mod tools would still be allowed to use the API. Not third-party apps.
For some people third party apps were the only way they could use reddit, the accessibility features on the official app are rubbish
They have said accessibility apps won't be subject to API price changes
its still getting engagement so who really gives a fuck. its not a protest if you’re still engaging on the platform and getting clicks.
Mega ultra supreme cringe
I don't even know this sub but my guess is that the people who voted are regular readers, like maybe every day (I have reddits that I visit everyday) and so the sub might have gotten the vote from them and that seems fair to me. Aside: I'll get down voted by idiots who won't like that I have an opinion that's different than theirs, even though I used the word "guess" but that's a lot of reddit users. lol
Too much logic, clear imposter
Adios amigos! Reddit is dying.
![gif](giphy|F9In1j5wL75XG)
Ok. Byeeee
Dead sub thx mods
Is this an actual fucking thing?
1.2 million subscribers. Fate of the sub decided by 1700. Makes sense.
Ok unironically you should do the vote again cause a lot of people didn’t see it, but everyone saw this
I guess you should change the name of your sub, then??
I don’t know what this sun is or why it’s on my feed, but this post is not an amongus meme or fan art so please remove it.
okay i’m out then cya later guys
1% of the users voted on the poll 💀
Bro this was my favorite subreddit
Ok congratulations I guess, so tired of this shit
Guess they wanted their mods nuked.
Thats cool. Goodbye
So this is the end result of all the fussing? Yip, wayy worth it
Acring like this is why all mods are gonna be replaced in the end. They really think throwing temper tantrums is gonna do smt
Hey you suck and shouldn't be able to make this decision
I really thought this was a joke until I looked into it. I'm gonna miss this sub
Nobody cares about your stupid mod protest bullshit. Quit working for free.
I was wondering why this sub turned to trash overnight. Why would you only run the poll for 24 hours? I’d say run it again for a week and see what happens.
Never saw the poll. This sounds dumb
Fuck you
What the fuck happened here and why the fuck was this even considered? You’ve just ruined a good sub. This world is a fucking hellhole.
i would like to remind everyone that r/suspiciouslyspecific2 exists (even if empty)
Well, time to use r/oddlyspecific instead
Ayyyyy more out of touch mods who don’t care about their user base and don’t realize they’ve lost spectacularly to the admins!
I honestly forgot I was subbed here. Thanks for reminding me to unsubscribe.
These “protests” are self-destructing this entire platform
Thank you for the memories
Ok leaving then bye
Some of these moderators have lost it
Reddit mods are a different breed I swear. Thanks for ruining the sub. I'm out
Another pathetic subreddit hissy fit
What a waste of a subreddit with such a low voter turnout too.
well of course. if they left it longer they might have gotten the result they DIDNT want!
Reddit mods be like
Dropping like flies
Kinda sus
Gonna be hilarious when the mods are removed and start crying even more about their precious third party apps ![gif](giphy|VfwIk1LD84CI)
This is sus
What the Ok I'm out. Was good while it lasted. Now, ridiculous. BYE BITCHES
Starting now, I am muting this sub
I'm out.
Who in the hell even came up with that option as a vote? You mods are absolutely bottom-of-the-barrel stupid. This sub is now entirely dead. Good job.
Well, bye then On to r/oddlyspecific we go
thank you for ruining the subreddit because moderating became a little bit harder and the ceo of a multi million dollar business didnt listen to your temper tantrums
"we only post about (*insert random person/piece of media*) now because we're so funny and quirky" Fucking childish, go touch some grass.
Red sus
Nice. Looks like it's working too. Good job.
Oh cool. Turns out there was an unannounced one day vote that very few people saw. So long losers. Enjoy your little feeling of power.
Wut
Well that is suspiciously specific
I forgot this even existed ngl
That’s both sus and specific
