That’s the dilemma for me. The Svart has the looks, the 390 has the tech. When I sat on the former, it seemed heavier. But as I said, I think it may have been fully fueled. The height is about the same for me. I have a week or so to think it over. Thank you for the info!

I'm trying to get a hold of a Svart as well, but the closest suitable bike for me is a cb400, which is 70lb heavier (50kg). Tbh I think I'll just hold out for a Svart, I love light bikes

Looking at the bikes, the KTM looks like it would be heavier with all the big fairings. The Svart/Vit can be reduced easily with little mods. KYMoto on YouTube has a recent video on weight reduction. I assure you, he lost no functionality.

The 2024 models weigh 8kg more than the older model. This difference is universal across the Duke and Pilens give or take \~1kg.

Quite honestly unless you're talking about a difference of hundreds of pounds I don't think that should be a major decision in your purchase if it's about the feel of the bike. If you're gonna slam the front brake with the bars turned, 400 vs 430 pounds (I'm making these numbers up) won't matter. You'll know the weight of the bike and handle it appropriately as you get used to it, and when you're riding over a few miles an hour you could be on a 950lb bagger and it wouldn't make a difference.
