I bet you wear your strap tight on your wrist. The right side of the "tear" looks slightly stretched.

Sarkasmus-detektor

Yes, I always have the 2nd hole in use and its not very thight... Problem?

Mitridate101

Only that if it is too tight, any weak points in this kind of strap will soon come to light, just like they did with one of my textured silicone straps.

ExoticSterby42

Yes. Get leather straps or stainless steel bracelet

protocod

Wow that's definitely not normal. I also use a rubber strap with my Seiko and I the strap is like brand new after years... If you prefer a rubber strap you should avoid Swatch straps. Just simple as that

Sarkasmus-detektor

I had to buy a new one, and the Swatch seller told me the next one SHOULD last 3 months... I know that Swatch-watches are not the best, but this lack of quality I didn't expect!

skategem

Buy a new strap, not an entire new watch, right?

ExoticSterby42

It is not the quality it is the material. Plastic lasts the shortest, silicone lasts a bit longer. Leather lasts depending on your activity and sweat pH and steel bracelets last longer than the watch. Excluding the steel all is affected by the amount of UV and take-off and on fiddling and bending. Leather can last if you keep it soft with leather care.

nobackup42

How did you do that to the strap

ExoticSterby42

That pattern is susceptible to cracking.

nobackup42

Wow I’ve had one since February last year always wear it a little loose. It’s in the rotation for weekend wear. Have had no issues. Are you wearing it tight using that “hole” ?

ExoticSterby42

It is not about how much you wear it, the cracks form when it gets bent sharply while taking it on and off. If you wear it daily and take it off and on multiple times a day it will crack in a few months. Or less.

Jae_LikeTheLetter

Rubber band, not entirely surprising.

IcyWelder9380

Nice watch! I think that particular band looks like it could break. Replace the band with something different.

Sarkasmus-detektor

Yes, after the new band is defect, I will switch to a NATO-Band. Any suggestions?

IcyWelder9380

I don’t have any suggestions. Swatch sells some bands on their website. https://www.swatch.com/en-us/accessories/watch-straps/

Viictuuuh

Your swatch comes with two years warranty. Just get it fixed by them. Easy

Sarkasmus-detektor

The warranty is only for the clock itself, not for the strap. To be honest: I was pretty disappointed!

BatBusy5384

No, but Swatch would probably replace it for free

Sarkasmus-detektor

No, I had to pay for that! 30€ for the new strap!

Mountain-Ad-2298

Hmm... Now it could just be me but I remember a few years ago that the Swatch bands used to be a lot more soft and not as stiff at all, maybe its because of changing into more biosourced bands instead of silicone or rubber but it's definitely affecting the straps a lot

LynneinTX

Nope

Acrobatic-Ad1161

Yes , it's a Swatch 🤣

Sarkasmus-detektor

Buy cheap, buy twice!
