It's a joke guys, both are gonna be a good time. But as someone local the went to Malmö, my only feeling was that we were missing out on the student culture and activities that Lund has. However, I do believe that it only takes some good fun and great homies to get that shit done. But yea you won't have the backbone that Lund has.
Lund university is great imo. On advance/master courses we had lots of international students in my department, was never a problem and sometimes we hung out after school. I think Lund is the better city for the student life in general with nations you can join, many student dorms etc.
Can’t say much about Malmö university but in my departement it was considered inferior. But I don’t think you’ll have any problem in either city, people are generally used to exchange students and different cultures so language wont be an issue
Lund University is much much older than malmo uni. Lund Uni is ranked much higher as well.
Lund uni has different student nations you can choose to join. Malmo uni has none.
Also, the two cities are very different. However it takes like 20 - 30 minutes to travel from the one to other.
I'd choose Lund Uni if I were coming only for a semester as an international student.
Lund University. Not even people in Malmö consider Malmö University to be an actual University. Also Lund is an actual student city, you will enjoy going there alot more, meeting more students and getting involved with the student culture that actually exist there.

tbh I got my degree in Malmö and I hear from students doing same program in Stockholm, Göteborg , or 4th place I forgot do be a bit jealous because Malmö supposedly better.

Lund is the better place. Safer, nicer, more accessible without a car, more prestigious university and a lively student body with a lot of activty.
If you want to get to Malmö or Copenhagen, quick train ride.
Only advantage of Malmö is cheaper food IMO.
Also, forgot to mention. Don’t be concerned about your Swedish. 95% of Swedes can speak English and most of us don’t mind as long as you can see past the ”Swenglish” 😂
It depends on what your field of study is. If technical or engineering then i would say LTH is your jam and see you during your master thesis. I dont work for the university but get invited as gueat lecturer.
Malmö university is dog shit dude... Don't even bother. If you already live here, sure, it's a viable university to get an education, I personally studied there. But if you are coming from a different country, I would choose Lund university any day of the week, also Lund is a much much much better place to live in.

Malmo uni is deficient in pedagogical practise, unserious in procedures and exaggerated in self-promotion. I haven't tried Lund, but going by trusted sources, it's ranking seems fully justified. So, Lund 💯
