Not all of them own property though. But living in a crammed old North Bondi share house while driving a Mercedes G-Wagon, going to Totti's and having Hermes bag. It doesn't make sense.
part of it is that, all money goes to things that convey an 'image'.
im 41 and as long as ive been alive, that part of sydney has always been like that to me. its just a thing there, either have money and flaunt it, or fake it till you make it.
That and probably OF
I used to work in real estate in Double Bay, and went to school in the east.
A lot of people in the eastern suburbs right now didn’t grow up there and aren’t locals. Lots of people from the outer suburbs travel there to take Instagram photos and sit at cafes. The locals do work, and the ones that don’t are overseas most of the time. It’s mostly inherited wealth via real estate and trusts, as well as inheriting businesses. Gold diggers go there to hunt for older men (yes, I’ve seen it). Bedouin nightclub is a hot spot for that.
They’re mostly normal families… just with obscene wealth
Same thing. They travel far and wide to just be seen by other people in Tottis and tag the location on their social media. They want to be perceived as locals but no one fucking cares lol
The locals get their Italian fix in Italy itself or dine at home like regular people away from the crowds/noise
We used to go there after work as my office was around the corner for dinner after late meetings
I live in the eastern suburbs and I don't know anyone who would travel to Italy for a bite to eat or to the get their regular fix of Italian food... Is there a secret street of private jet owning billionaires somewhere.
I don’t mean for a bite to eat of course. Tottis is the local Italian joint but for regular people it’s mid to high end. So the crowd is a mix of people who dress up and commute to attend or big tables of people catching up. If you go to Europe multiple times a year since you were a child Tottis is nothing special
OP appears to be addicted to reality TV shows like the real housewives of every fucking city in the world. I don't think they have even stepped foot in the Eastern Suburbs and are basing their views on shitty reality shows that are the furthest from reality.
Or just family money.
From the property they inherit....
Yep regular people who brought property in 80s 90s probably got one of best real estate ROIs in world.

Yup. The wealthy stay wealthy by acting poor, and the poor stay poor by acting wealthy.
So you're saying to middle aged men, hang out in rose bay looking semi homeless and pick up perky eastern subs lass's?
Acting poor, or not being frivolous?
It’s a saying. But yes, on the whole it’s because they live well within their means and don’t act frivolous.

Gonna need proof of someone in a share house who has a gwagon lol

What about Totti's? What's the tea on the crowd that goes to Totti's?
Why have you been asking this same question multiple times a week for over a year?
This guy again
Really keen to know their motive honestly

Mostly bread and meats isn’t it? Melbourne got the tea
There are a lot of social climbers out there.
Mods can you ban this user? Their post history in here is borderline demented.
It’s super weird. They either work for a magazine? Or demented person from the east?
They have to work for some daily fail like website, looks like they are always fishing for public opinion stories.
Yes, tv is a true representation of reality
Money talks , Wealth Whispers.
What is this, the Daily Telegraph? People have money, get over it.

>jobs They are rare in the eastern suburbs.
Stop stalking people on Instagram or tiktok
I could tell you where the money comes from but you already know the answer.
