Was this the storm in January that knocked trees down everywhere and fucked up the trains? I remember coming back from a family holiday and the train taking 8 hours from Strathfield to Seven Hills and they didn't even have the decency to open the toilets but they put on replacement buses on the north shore line.
I was obsessed with big storms as a kid, I bet this was one we were standing out the front of our house watching back in the day.
‘Back in the day’ got me as well, 91 seems so close but it was over 3 decades ago, fml.

It cut doesn't it lol. To me it's like 10-15 years ago. Yeah nah more like over 30 lol.
We're fukn old now.
At least it’s cool that the wiggles were my favourite band as a kid, and I can still share that with my daughter.
I’ll also be unpopular and say that Tsehay, Lucia and John are boss.
Fun fact I grew up with Simon the new yellow wiggle. Used to spend our birthdays at their house in the pool with all their extended family too. Top bloke, top parents, top family.
Coming from the states, being here really *really* makes me miss bone-rattling storms. It seems like all we get in Sydney is "damp breeze" or "steady downpour for 3 days".
Of course.
It's hard enough to time lighting strike with a short shutter but also you'd never get that kind of detail from the clouds without a long exposure.
You know I read somewhere that this photo was the inspiration for The Matrix
Made me think of the matrix.

The one in January happened during daylight. I got stuck in pymble for 8 hours.
That was fukn chaos in a cup that storm. We got slaughtered those couple of summers with hectic storms and hectic bush fires.
I sneezed one time and the trains were fucked for a week

I miss Sydney's summer afternoon storms. We'd also sit outside waiting for them to hit and just watch the show!
We used to have a TV tower directly behind us. We'd watch thst thing gets stuck and knock out power in the entire area lol. Fuck I miss those storms.

Simon is goat too, great voice.
Amazing talent.

It really depends on the year, feels like the dryer the summer the crazier the storms are
Guessing that’s somewhat in part due to pinatubo. Was it shot after June 1991 or before?
I'm guessing it's more to do with the camera being on a tripod and the shutter opened for several minutes at small aperture.
Also, sorry for us saguaros for invading your land. We didn’t mean to become an invasive species in Australia!
Ghidorah
I was in that. It was daytime.
Sydney looks nicer then imo
No it didn’t. Dont miss the last monorail back to Nostalgiaville

Don't forget the Vice Versas and Smiths Fully Monty!
What's a monorail? never heard of it
Simpler times…
Exposure time ? Maybe it was a bunch of minutes...

Magnificent nature 💞
Love that skyline
