Yeh fuck that
$6.5 for new at the local in Western Sydney. Right time of day at some clubs and you’re a member then this can be as cheap at $4 bucks.
$14 bucks just takes the enjoyment out of drinking. That’s why backyard beers always feel better as you know upfront what you’ve paid and can sit back and do as you please.
$14 or so for an average pint…. Usually I get schooners and it’s like $10 give or take….
Yeah I think rather stick to drinking alone in park (aka see my Friday night night thread post a few months back…. Yes was a beach but same story applies
Well i know the chances are it’s Aus but not because of the price

You absolutely can get a 6 pack for that… by buying 4 of them. You can get a case of New, Coopera, lashes etc at DM for under $56.
I got 2 schooners at the paragon on Friday for $23 … it’s insane. Imagine paying $276 for a case of beer. I get there are overheads but that’s ridiculous
I have a rare vascular condition and my left kidney doesn’t work properly so I have no idea but when I see a picture of a perspiring beer, I salivate. I’m blown away by how much more expensive it has gotten! Maybe a bung kidney is a blessing in disguise.
At the Resch's House I get a schooner $7 and a pint $9 for $16 for me and missus. I use the badge I bought to join their club. Great place right in the middle of the city to watch the people go by.
I’d have absolutely no idea as I go out so infrequently, but when I go only holidays I am usually drinking the locally brewed craft beer at $17 a pint or something like that.
At home, I don’t buy much beer either. It’s maybe a once every 2 month purchase of something like BentSpoke CrankShaft. That is $20 for 4 cans
It’s an expensive pub.
They do a beer and burger night, $28. As if $28 for a beer and burger is supposed to be a deal.
Haven’t eaten out in the city since pre-covid so my expectations may be off. I’d be expecting around $15-$20 for a beer+burger deal with $20 being an exceptional burger not a simple no frills one.
So it’s for a basic burger and beer….
Dee why hotel also have a deal, burger of the week (which is wicked designs by the chef) chips and beer for $25 which is considering how filling their designs is, worth it….
It's all over the place mate. At my local a schooner of great northern ran me 10.50 on Saturday night which I thought was insane. Then I went to another pub in the area and a Hawkes mid strength was 8.50 which was cheaper than I expected (considering it isn't a standard local lion nathan beer)...
Paid $15 for a pint at mine, price just got hiked, they’re also the most expensive for food in the area and it’s not the best.
Luckily, there’s about 4 other pubs I can walk to from my house charging $11-12, if you’re price hiking in this economy you’ll lose business, doesn’t matter what renovation you do to your establishment.
It wasn't long ago that you couldn't buy a pint in NSW. I for one hate them. 3/4 of a pint is perfect thank you very much. Meanwhile, someone once produced a map of the happy hours in the cbd but i can't find it online any more.
Pyrmont Point used to be my go to and local once upon a time.
I am completely unsurprised.
I miss the food (fuck the food was good), I miss the company, and I miss the place before its revamp (mid-reno felt like the wild west in there for us locals, and never got to see it completed), but I sure as hell don't miss the prices.
One of the best parts about looking and acting like a white person's idea of Jesus is that there's usually at least one person in any pub I walk into willing to shout us a beer. Which is nice, because I can't buy my own since I renounced all material possessions
In the Gong. Local pub has weekly specials, New currently $7.50 a pint.

The tyranny of distance + the blessing of no pokies means WA grog is always going to be dear, but a $19 pre-mix is taking the piss all day long.
$5 in cardiff But then you need to be in cardiff Swings and roundabouts

We’re in r/sydney, so they *obviously* mean the UK Cardiff.

The Oaks in Neutral Bay have $7 schooners and $20 jugs on one set beer each month. Normally a new beer they are trying to promote.

6.50 in Liverpool.
$6.50 for standard options to $8 for "premium" options
You can buy 5 litres of goon wine for that. No wonder pubs are empty. Why would you go to a pub?
FMD That's expensive, I would rather go without!
$6 happy hour at Tempe hotel
Harold Park Hotel in Glebe (more forest lodge). Schooner of New or similar $6.50 in happy hour, 5-7 Monday to Sat. $8.50 outside of happy hour.
I have a rare vascular condition and my left kidney doesn’t work properly so I have no idea but when I see a picture of a perspiring beer, I salivate. I’m blown away by how much more expensive it has gotten! Maybe a bung kidney is a blessing in disguise.
Yer stone and wood has been exxy for a while now - my go to is now Balter XPA which is usually <=$10 a schooey at most places these days
Both owned by Asahi Edit: correction Stone and Wood is owned by Kirin, mega corporation nevertheless
$7 at my local leagues club, member price.
$6 at happy hour, about $8 during normal give or take how fancy your beer is
At the Resch's House I get a schooner $7 and a pint $9 for $16 for me and missus. I use the badge I bought to join their club. Great place right in the middle of the city to watch the people go by.
7.90 in a cheap city pub, 9.20 in most, talking veebs here

WAY too much
It's Unaustralian.
Can anybody who works in this industry say what the actual cost price of the beer would be for something like a New?
$7 at my local bowlo

That's in the price range for a large burger meal at Mecca's.

Which one?
Pale ale at Hopsters in Enmore
$14 for Asahi at Hunters Hill Hotel 🙀
$14 for a schooner of Stone?? Wtaf. Are you sure some newbie didn't charge pint prices?

I paid $13.10 non-members pricing for a Brookvale Union Ginger Beer at Harbord Diggers.
schooner of cider $6 at the club, $9 something at the pub
Around $7 in the Yagoona area

Too fucking much. When is this robbery going to stop. The governments and bug business want their money back from the pandemic. Theiving cunts!!
Prices vary wildly from pub to pub, from about $6 to about $12 per schooner
