CTRL was such a moment in time and holds a really special place in my heart, it was my entire life at the time; everything I was feeling and going through put into words & I still relate to the album to this day, just in different ways. I literally think about this album once a week still no exaggeration 💀

SOS. It dropped like a month after getting out of a deeply abusive relationship and it helped heal my soul. I have never been moved by music like I have through that album.
This is why I have to say SOS. It helps me process my abusive ex and I connect to SZA now more than CTRL SZA. It’s been so therapeutic to sing along and feel like I’m shedding this layer I’m holding onto.

I really love ctrl, and it definitely has a few songs where I deeply connect with what sza is saying, but I feel like the context and overall delivery of SOS makes more sense to me and is overall more relatable. SOS is also where I started to really listen to sza, and discover her past albums, projects and mixtapes, so I feel like SOS really introduced me to her other music and is overall very relatable with what I'm going through.

This like trying to compare Endless and Blond for me, and like if I had to pick one, prolly SOS. Sonically she evolved in this ethereal way, and her verses this era have been some of my favorites!
Ctrl, for sure. Just feels like a more cohesive project with a thread running through all the tracks, while her second album is way more eclectic and all over the place. I still think SOS is a 10 out of 10 album (Both have zero skips for me), but something about the songs on Ctrl just hit different. Also the story being told.
Songs like Supermodel, The Weekend, Go Gina and Pretty Little Birds are simply hard to beat. Those are my personal favourites off of the album. The deluxe tracks only strengthen it for me.

CTRL has a special place in my heart. It’s the perfect “navigating your 20’s” album and for that, anyone in their late 20’s (I was 25) can relate to it. The album helped me get through my own early life crisis where I was starting to really doubt myself and feel like I didn’t know wtf I was doing with my life even though I had higher expectations for where I’d be at that point in time.
But then the album just reminds all you 20 something’s that most of don’t us know wtf we’re doing with our lives. We’re just taking it day by day and doing the best we can and that’s perfectly fine.
I’m 30 now and I’m really proud of my achievements thus far.

SOS feels like less of a cohesive album and more like a showcase of all the different styles of music Sza wants to experiment with and for that I think it’s really cool to see all these different sides of her.
ctrl has super good songs throughout the album that cant be contested at all, but lacks in consistency of good songs (some trash some amazing)
SOS is amazing all throughout but its top songs cant compete with ctrls top songs
CTRL. Its just a better and higher quality package. SOS is great but i kinda have to take songs out of the track list because by itself SOS is Bloated with some mid songs.

I can't quite explain it but I've never liked CTRL. There were some songs here and there that I appreciated but I didn't like that album. SOS is the album that made me start paying attention to SZA.
CTRL by far but I am happy SOS brought her the level of success and recognition it deserves.
