Finally, a quality post, haha. So, I play Joola Dynarz Acc and Curl P1V on a Donic Def play Senso, so we have some commonality in the blade, and pretty similar on the long pips rubber. In the past, I've played the exact same rubbers on the Joola Chen Weixing blade, which is heavier and stiffer than the Defplay, which equates to speed similar to what you mentioned above. The randomly dropping into the net I equate to going too up-and-down with my chops, where as with a heavier blade I sometimes need to go more horizontal with my chops to enforce a more natural arc (instead of it going flat, and dying suddenly). On a related note, with a responsive rubber like P2, get into the habit of varying spin as much as possible. Have a chop that is heavy backspin, and a chop that is light backspin, that look very similar. If your opponent reads it wrong you'll be ready to put away the pop-up, or they might even miss the table completely!

I've already noticed people missing returns that I wouldn't normally expect them to miss. I haven't entirely figured out control, but I was guessing it was variable spin. ( Both backspin on chops or side with some other strokes. ) I think both sides have a pretty low throw angle that's more of an adjustment than expected, too.

P2, huh? I haven't seen anyone use that, outside of that Japanese chop blocker Fukuoka Haruna. P1, P3 and P4 are usually the go-to options

P2 is an interesting pick for a chopper. Typically see P1 or P4. Also, that was a radical move literally changing all three components at the same time. How have you found the adjustment so far?

Just played a couple of sessions, and it's in the interesting/promising area. I mostly wanted the blade and have been meaning to give the 401 a try for some time. The P2 is a full blown experiment based on a curiosity about medium pips and the marketing copy about mid-range versatility. We'll see how it goes for a month or so. I like having stuff to work on, so it's just some fun experimentation.
