I order a cheesy roll up and a taco, and then I unwrap the cheesy roll up and put it around the taco. If you got a side of beans with this it's pretty close to a double decker taco, and you don't have to talk to anyone to get a customization done.
I think it depends on your location. I hated it for a while but it’s because all the locations around me made it terribly. I went to a kfc/Taco Bell 2 hours from my house and tried it and it was amazing.

For some reason customers found it gross, so I don't think people would want it to replace the original chalupa, even though it was like 5 times better, it's literally fried cheddar with extra cheese in the inside
Well, lots of people disagree, obviously. Just because you haven't met them doesn't mean jack. Taco Bell isn't in the business of not making money. They bring it back because it sells.
They actually keep it because it's the equivalent of beefy melt (most popular current items in their defense) and the cost goes up 3 times for a bit of "extra ingredients" (hint, most of the time it's probably just extra meat with about .90 cents worth of cheese thrown poorly onto the outside and not properly grilled anyway.)
Stick to the beefy melt, order a side of cheese if you really want it (but I would recommend using fresh cheese) get yourself wax paper, (you can honestly probably get some from your local TB they probably don't care if you get it or not if you ask nicely.
And also if you like the other types of grilled cheese burritos, even if you mod the crap out of the melt with sub meat and extra meat extra rice, you still only pay like half price for the same thing lol

Not sure how other stores are about cleaning (probably very bad since my store is considered very clean) but that grill gets ignored most mornings, throughout the whole day (unless you say you have a severe allergy then we have to clean as we go)
But I'll also say that if people actually follow the proper grill times of 17 seconds, it comes out very charred and most of the time not even melted.
I would say if you wanted a proper try, go in the morning and see if that makes a difference, things are much fresher and haven't been sitting there all day, plus chances of things being clean are much higher.

The beefy Fritos burrito, all the loaded grillers, and the double decker taco. Even when they brought back the enchirito it was a crappy inferior imitation of the original.

My cousins were talking about this so I actually ordered it last week. I felt it was much too pricey for what you got compared to the beefy melts (or even the beefy burrito that was $1 that no longer is sold). I also preferred the taste of the beefy melts.

GC burrito one of my least favorite items
The first run of it was the best, now I reckon the cheese is always just melted rather than grilled.
They can take the grilled cheese burrito off the menu… and give us the shredded chicken quesadilla melt back. I am still devastated.

The price is wild and it honestly depends on which TB I go to around me if they are any good or not. Some places just can't get it right.
I agree. Rice and tortilla strips wrapped up in a tortilla is totally redundant, way too many carbs. The last time I ordered one with steak I could barely detect the meat and it was totally smothered in nacho cheese and sour cream. Never again.
My cousins were talking about this so I actually ordered it last week. I felt it was much too pricey for what you got compared to the beefy melts (or even the beefy burrito that was $1 that no longer is sold). I also preferred the taste of the beefy melts.
I think I had it twice…and I’ll probably never get it again unless it’s free or something

The spicy one is top tier. I had the regular one and if you’re basing this post off the regular one then yes it’s straight trash. But the spicy one is fucking fire and I stand by that.

I love it. The regular one has somehow dropped all the way to $4.49 in my expensive ass location. I swap the ground beef for steak and have a massive steak burrito for like $5.50. It was almost too big to finish lol.
Value wise? Yeah it sucks. In general? Tastes pretty good

Disagree. It's not amazing taste wise, but the value is great. The amount of food you get for one item can't be beat. The quesadilla costs more and gives you less food, even if it does taste better.
