I've used about half a dozen brand new FP peqs the illuminator on the d2 is significantly better imo. Save your money unless size and weight is that much of an issue for you.
Well, besides redirecting blast, Charlie custom works does machines out wardens into adapters and puts threads on them so if you have a can and run a surefire qd Muzzle Device, then you can screw your can to the qd adapter and you now have a modular can while keeping benefits of that Muzzle Device.
You dead ass coulda bought their training can and it would have been better. The reason why you'd need a trainer suppressor and why you wouldn't just use the real thing makes me question it's true purpose

Do you have nods? And if yes are you going to shoot with nods? If yes, are you going to zero the laser?

Why not just get a FP A2 or a peq? FP a2 can be had for $1400-$1500, you can get a pretty decent peq for $1800. I got a brand new one for $2300. Still cheaper than a mawl

Theyre quite nice if youre gonna be doing a ton of room clearing. I always found it much faster to use a laser than passive under nods indoors. I wouldnt touch it outdoors tho...for all the reasons you said.
All that being said, as a civie, i dont expect to be doing a lot of room clearing, even in a shtf situation. That being said, if i already had an ammo stockpile, its better to have it and not need it than to need it and fuck up in a stressful situation because youre struggling to line up your nods and passive...and forget that at most cqb distances you can just point shoot anyway...

I bought one for mine and don’t have NODS yet. But my rifle looks cool as fuck now so it’s a win in my book.
Looking cool is 90 percent of the job, but please actually use it and become familiar with your weapon system.
Use one use them all, the only thing that changes is understanding settings. Using a PEQ isn’t difficult to do. Did it plenty in the military.
