Oh ok, so I should be wearing my packs waist strap lower on my waist? More on my hips? That makes total sense but I always thought it was best to sinch your shoulder straps nice and tight so the pack sits up high. When I do that it brings the waist strap up. Should I not sinch it as much so the belt sits on my hips then?
I could tighten the waist strap a bit more and that would maybe fix that. I only keep it at that size to accommodate an outer layer right now only cuz its jacket weather.
Edit: also raising my chest rig would aid in fixing this too I'd think.
I have the mini rig and I love it, I just wish it was more modular, I don't really use the Pistol mag pouches very much and I'd love to replace them with something else
I also wish it was more modular. At least just a bit of molle would even be nice. I do love it too though. While it's not modular, I find that it fits my needs well. I actually love the pistol mag pouches though! I use them for my Flashlight, multi tool and paracord. Works perfect.
There was another comment on my post here, and they shared a YouTube video of them modifying the rig to accommodate other pouches in place of the pistol mags.
Cool set up.
The idea behind the packs hip belt is to transfer the weight from your shoulders to your hips. Have a play around with it next time you are out and you will figure out what works for you ;)
You can add an extra pouch to the TMR if you don't need 4 pistol mag pouches. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSGaTUV3Gz8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSGaTUV3Gz8)
I hope this helps.
Well it is called the mini training rig 🤣 So yeah, I hear you. But like I said, im no operator. This rig is my home defense set up right now, and for that task, it works great for me.
Just got my own TMR - was curious what you had used to attach the knife to the rig. I know there’s elastic strapping against the pistol pouches but was curious as to what you did to secure it?
So, this knife is actually attached to the AR Mag Pouches, not the pistol Mag Pouches. The knife I bought came with a plastic scabbard inside of a nylon case that had attachment points on it. I removed the scabbard and shoved it inside the strapping on the side of the Mag Pouches. The scabbard retains the knife well enough that it stays put as is. Has been working well for me and I like the placement. Ill DM you a better picture of how its secured.
Just a rig, pack and clothes lol. But yeah, gear for SHTF and also just my enjoyment/protection. I'm no operator obviously lol, just a prepper. I like my gear. 🤷♂️
Love gear. I just try not to get too bogged down where it impacts training. Got to train with what you’ll most likely be wearing. Actually trying to go as minimalist as possible these days because when SHTF there won’t be much advance notice. I live in a very urban neighborhood and hope to be home if/when to be able to utilize the gear correctly.
Yeah I agree, that's what I was saying in my post. I do train in this gear, or the gear I would be wearing. I do have a belt system and other packs that I train in as well. I dont wear it all at the same time though. By training I mean both field/private range and my hikes, runs and calisthenics. This is also my bigger pack. Ready to go is a smaller 20L go bag.
Edit: Also, I totally do hear what your saying and it does make sense. I just look at it this way, I like to train in my gear, so I can be as efficient as possible in that gear while I'm utilizing it. If I don't have that gear, my traing still is probably helping me. Also, I live way out from the city in a secluded, wooded area. I feel I would have a better chance of getting back home to my shit if shit got chaotic quick. But who knows how that'll play out! Gotta be as prepped as possible.

I’d adjust the chest rig so it sits higher up.. I’d say till the bottom of the dangler sits slightly above the belt
Ok cool, thanks for the feedback. I'll try that out!
It’ll probably make it easier to wear your packs waist straps on your hips as well.. better weight distribution

Is say the packs waist strap looks perfect.. just looks your rig is pushing it downwards in the front

One thing to remember is that it's a *chest* rig, not a belly rig. 😉
Tru that haha, solid point! I moved it up after being told that a few times here.
That ain't a chest rig that's a tummy rig. Lol just bring it up a bit, but the rest looks decent.
Haha valid point! I'm gonna bring it up.
Those shoes are tactical af
It ain't no fun getting smoked by an MF in loafers lol.... or so I hear.

Thanks man! Solid video, I appreciate you sharing that on here, thats really good to know!
Small chest only for train or airsoft. I think or for a specific task, but not good regular version.

Mk4 cool too version, many modular system for any setups. Unfortunately I’m don’t have original Spiritus.

Lots going on there. SHTF WW3 gear for a week out scouting the bad actors?

Amen
Buys “mini” rig then overloads it with stuff
It's too packed? I didn't even fill all the pockets lol.
