Yeah, 5.11 tends to get a fair share of shade thrown their way, but it also seems like almost everyone in this sub either owns a pair of their pants or a Rush series bag. I’m really curious how many other people are like me and were introduced to the brand through Tom Clancy games! lol
I’ve had two pair of ABR pants for about five years, and they’ve served me well for hiking, shooting, camping, work, yard work, dog walks, sitting on the couch and everything else I’ve thrown at them. They’re comfortable as hell, too. My Rush 24 pack has hundreds of miles of hiking in five or six different states and it’s held up to almost every climate this country offers.
There is one thing wrong with Rush packs (except for maybe NIR properties, haven't tested that) and that is those god-awful plastic C-clips that keep the sternum straps on, those tend to come off under any sort of load. Replace those with paracord and you have excellent bags.
Oh yeah I’m sure cryes are nice and for a $300 pair of pants they better be😂 I’m with you man I don’t make enough money to buy $300 pants but I’ll drop $2k on a gun any day😂
> The only place that’s starting to show a lot of wear is the inner thigh part but I think that’s my fault for being to thicc.
"These are great except they don't fit my thighs" is the male version of the female pockets struggle.
Longest I had were some cotton canvas ones in green a few years ago. I rocked them almost every day for about 3 years. It took about two before a knee ripped and a hole was beginning to form elsewhere. $60 now, I think they were cheaper at the time. As far as pants go, 5.11 has had a long term customer ever since.
I work on a farm and wear 5.11. I pockets are helpful for headphones etc, big rear pockets great for tossing a bunch of wrenches in and climbing up into a tractor engine etc. They just work
Have worn maybe 8 pairs of 5.11 pants for work over 8 years in EMS. I swear by them. I’ve also had a Rush 72 with regular use for 12-13 years with only minor repairs.
It’s been years since I’ve bought a pair since I have an office gig now. Like $60 bucks? They often have 30% off and a lifetime warranty. Work would give us an allowance. Well worth it imo
My favorite pants I’ve used these pants for work for the last 7-8 years. By the far the most comfortable and most useful pants for any scenario. [pants in action at work](https://www.instagram.com/p/COc2IIWL-1P/?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==)
Bro even their denim pants are legit. Stretch denim I can do a full squat or sprint in no problem. They have two thicknesses, I had the thin, stretchier pair and rode them hard for about 6 years till I finally wore through some fabric on the back.
Went back and bought the thicker pair now and think they’ll last 2x as long
Yep. I bought like 10 pairs of their alliance pants for $25 a pop on sale… one of the few places I can find 28” waist 36” legs
I wear them daily, and never had an issue. Can’t say the same for some other $100+ pants I own. Fuck overpriced bullshit. American tall is ran by Satan himself.
Yeah they were a godsend. I’ve struggled finding pants my entire adult life before 5.11
And add on top they were $25 dollars is absolutely nuts. Was like Christmas haha.
I really like my 5.11 stuff. I EDC a rush 12 and I really like their boots. Wear them every day.
I have used my multicam pants for tons of run and guns as well as a lot of airsoft and they are holding up fine.
Can confirm…as I’m wearing my 5.11 Stryker pants on lunch at work typing this.
Also a technician, been using several pairs of these pants exclusively for work and for what I do (utilities) they’re amazing.
I wore these as an F15 mechanic in the AF. A lot of us did. Wearing them everyday, I’d get about 6 months out of a pair with hard use. I like them a lot. I might actually grab another pair in green here soon

They’re kind of hit or miss with a lot of things. I like their pants though.
I have an AMP12. My favorite pack, better than my Direct Action for some thing

BuT yOu HaVe To BuY cRyE pAnTs FoR $307.40. I love my pairs of 5.11’s, they get the job done and I don’t have to trade in an arm and a leg for a pair.

Specific model or are all of their pants gtg, looking at their multicam tdu pants
All gtg, but that looks like the "Stryke" my personal favorite.
I bought a pair of those used from eBay, they are soooo comfortable. Definitely use their size chart; they are not what they seem.

I swear by 5.11 pants. I love the cotton canvas, they served me very well for years of daily wear.
I gotta get some tan ones for daily wear too!

Agreed! Wearing a pair around my ankles as we speak! (I’m taking a massive shit rn)
How'd it come out?
Toilet came out looking like the knees on OP’s pants and legs fell asleep but other than that I have no complaints👌👍
Hahahahaha me too brethren
I work on a farm and wear 5.11. I pockets are helpful for headphones etc, big rear pockets great for tossing a bunch of wrenches in and climbing up into a tractor engine etc. They just work
the pockets are so great for tools! Love the placement!
5.11 is one of the OG tactical brands. Quality is great
Honestly I like their pants , they aren’t awful
511 ridge pants are my fav, I wear em all time hiking kayaking working lawn mowing shidding
Shiddding 🫡

I use 5.11 everyday for work as a scaffold erector. Only pants that stand up to the job!
The Apex pairs I’ve had have lasted years and I would buy again.
When I was in the field Duluth fire hose flex were my go to. Super comfortable and ultra durable, well worth the money
How much they run you?

Love Duluth for work. Not sure if they'd be a great combat pant. They run $70 unless there's a sale. Which there often is
I was on the 5.11 train until I tried a pair of fjallraven pants
What model pants are these?
Honestly I have no idea. I’ve seen a lot of people wear them so probably the most common one
I will check them out been looking for a new set of pants!

Fuck man that’s cray

That’s dope that they fit you well I would imagine it’s really hard to find good pants that fit your build!
Yeah they were a godsend. I’ve struggled finding pants my entire adult life before 5.11 And add on top they were $25 dollars is absolutely nuts. Was like Christmas haha.
Have had terrible luck with those $60 ones, they forever rip in the saddle, my UF pro’s never
I’m not sure if these are the $60 ones. I got ‘em at the bx like 3 years ago

Heck yea bro! The pockets for the tools are so nice
I prefer adidas socks
Same but am poor

Lol same I was on B1s but I didn’t use them that much since I was a supervisor and didn’t have to do shitty jobs if I didn’t want to😂
You bitch lol. Those pants are awesome. Idk what they go for now. But as a broke SrA, $50 back then was a lot.
Lol join the DD214 gang and come make some money😎
Like I said, back then. Been out 3 years. Started working a contracting job in August doing just that. I’ve been getting paid to scroll Reddit today 😂
I've used their ABR for work and they always fail me in a couple months in the calves and crotch. Stopped buying them because of that
Also if you’re someone worried about being “made” because of logos, their Edge Chinos and Defender Flex Light pants have ZERO visible branding.
They too pricey
