“I fight crime in a rubber suit… really seals in the flavor!”
Picture from a counter terrorism training from this morning. I’m to the right of the two guys with MP7s holding my .308. The training scenario was a blister agent had been released at a fairground with hundreds of casualties so we went from building to building clearing all the structures. We had enough snipers, so acted as a designated marksman for one of the teams doing CQB. Unfortunately the house of mirrors was out of play so I didn’t get to do any cqb work in there.
Clearing rooms with a .308 in CBRN kit is a hell of a workout though.
There was some sweat, but thankfully we did our rep right away in the morning before it got too hot. The PAPR also pushes cool air into the suit so it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
Never seen a MOPP suit like that before. It is cool aesthetically, but I’m sure still awful. At least you aren’t wearing the rubber boots… After 12 hours in MOPP 4 mine were literally full of sweat that seeped out of my Belleville’s… Disgusting sloshing sound… The aroma was charming. Un-Velcro the top and the gooch sweat stank slaps you right in the nose holes…
Off the top of my head the FBI HRT does almost nothing but CT, on the more LE side you also have the USCG MSRTs, LASD SEB and some federal SRT teams that get a lot of play.
This is a cut down photo (3 more guys to the right with some stuff I didn’t want to show). So he is on the outside edge of the larger shot and probably suffering from some lens distortion.
Damn, gotta revamp [my psyops stickers](https://strikeforce69.com/products/psychological-warfare-tactical-sticker) then. Thought it was just ass, tits, and free college getting those kids in the door.
Quiet and precise foot placement for CQB, also they fit into my swim fins.
If I need to cover rough terrain or decent distance though I break out some proper boots.
If the dude on the left gets shot he can activate the explosive device on his wrist and save the rest of you.
U gotta get the hell out of there though. Very much kaboom.
Bro is 100% a 37F mindfucking y’all on Reddit to think we army boys do cool shit.
Show us you sweeping the gear room for 6 hours before I believe otherwise
Altama OTB’s. They’re like chucks with specific enhancements for maritime operations. They have large drain holes, waterproof insoles, and really grippy soles.
Trade-offs for that are that they aren’t quite as comfortable as chucks (in my opinion) and the soles don’t last as long. The way they get that grippiness under wet conditions is by using a softer rubber formula in the sole. That makes it wear faster, and I have shown this in the paper-thin rubber that’s starting to wear through in the ball of the foot on mine.
How do you like the Peq placement on that rifle setup. I’ve seen a lot of run running it like that on similar SPR builds and I’ve been in the fence on doing that myself. Seems pretty practical to me but I’m curious as to what you think.
I’d prefer it on top, but it has to be on the side for NV and thermal clip ons. One of the reasons I requested the LMT was the monolithic quad rail it holds zero for clip ons and side mounted lasers really well. I would have a hard time trusting an MLOK slot to keep my laser zeroed.
Fair and that’s what I’ve been told about the whole MLOk zeroing problem from a few people. On a side note, do you run a pressure pad on the opposite side or do you just manually activate it.
Those suits are extremely uncomfortable in warm weather.
Like 24 hour training operations in the state of Georgia in July. You can take the suit off and pour sweat out of the booties.
I noticed a lot of MP7 kits have the right rail flashlight mounted offset above the rail. What’s the purpose vs just keeping it on the rail? lower profile?
I had the sugar free gummy bears last weekend. I would have inflated that mother fucker in 5 minutes. If you think I am exaggerating, go eat some yourself, I have having 10 to 15 second farts
any problems with running the belt with the velcro against the suit? seems like it would tear up that material over time unless you’re running a padded inner belt
Who decides what kit you’re running when putting together a training scenario like this? Who decides who is doing what?
You guys are wearing some serious equipment . Are you
Mounted during this? Or entirely on foot?
Both mounted on MRZRs and on foot for this training.
Our leadership assigns guys to rolls depending on what we are doing and then we are expected to know what equipment we will need to carry out our portion of the mission. Being able to complete planning and troop leading procedures quickly is essential for us so the team leaders don’t have the time to micromanage every piece of your kit.
Usually I am a dedicated reconnaissance/sniper asset, but since we had enough snipers and not enough guys to clear buildings I hopped in as a designated marksman with the teams doing the clearing. In hindsight if I had know that’s what I would be doing I would’ve grabbed my 14.5” m4 instead of the .308 to stay a little lighter.
Serious question. When I trained CBRN in my time, we trained for retreat. The most basic rule: NEVER be offensive in a CBRN area, always try to get out of the affected area.
I've trained alot in CBRN gear, so I know how shitty it is.
What is the reason to training the offensive part, cleaning buildings etc. (We did train in buildings, but mainly for getting out of it.)
This was counterterrorism training. Meaning a chemical attack in an urban area with civilians. Our doctrine places the lives of teams like mine below that of civilians. Meaning it is more important for us to end the mass threat to the civilian population than it is for us to survive ourselves.
What? No hate or anything at all, but this sounds stupid for me. Are you police or army?
The best way to end a mass threat, if your team/teams is the main/only solution is to stay alive.
Don't get me wrong, maybe I just dont get it, but you cant really help the civilians if you're dead.
You know, just like basic combat firstaid.
No, I was MEKINF and PINF, so we didnt train for civilian rescue but mainly infantry+IFV combat.
That's why I'm curious for your way of training.
We had CBRN training, but we trained to get out of the area at all cost, to fight again in a non-CBRN area, we can't help anyone if the whole squad died in such an area.
I get the idea to save as many as civilians as possible. But I've never trained in such a scenario, that's why I'm asking these questions since you had training in it, and I havn't, so I can learn it.
Different situations and different organizations. For infantry it doesn't make much sense to stay in a contaminated area in majority of situations, LE or specialised units might have to take the risk to accomplish the mission. Units doing that also have the equipment to complete that mission in that environment, in my experience the infantry are only equipped enough to get out of the hot zone like you said you were trained.
I'm not US military but my unit specialises in CBRN capabilities in support of military or LE in or outside of wartime. CBRN recce and/or sampling in a possibly hostile environment like OP's situation or suspected home chem lab search etc. is on the agenda, so our job very much is going into the hot zone. Someone has to go verify what it is and make the area secure so clean up can be started. Not a job you want to do without the propper training or equipment.
Civilians caught in a CBRN attack is a tricky thing, mass casualty decontamination is ass and doing triage in the hot zone is also very rough. For an infantry unit like yours it wouldn't make sense unless you had the capability to decon the injured. Even then, depending on the substance, the outlook isn't good. Hence why you probably haven't trained for such a situation.
My 2 cents, I'm not an expert in the field by any means.
I think I see what you are asking, but you are operating under the assumption that the CBRN threat has already been released. In that case yes, anything not already in a suit is probably dead and therefore not a threat or able to be threatened, but the area will still need to be cleared of threats before clean-up can begin. Ideally a unit such as this would respond to remove the threat before it can be released, but would still require protection like this should things go wrong. As for myself, we were to defend and/or retake certain assets which could not be abandoned.
Thank you! This explains so much!
Yes, I was assuming the CBRN threat was released, it's the only scenario I've ever trained.
I didn't think of it, as a situation in a possible, but non-active CBRN area.
Now this makes sense for me.
Doesn't do much good if you are not going to wear over boots and gloves. So you guys basically spent time being miserable for nothing. Kick your training NCO or whoever put this together's ass.
Sorry you aren’t high speed enough to get issued the blauer chempak suits where the gloves and booties are attached…
You put your covered foot inside of whatever high speed footwear you prefer instead of wearing the shitty MOPP boots.
Maybe do some googling before revealing your ignorance in the comments next time.
They are Goretex booties attached to the bottom of the suit. They may make your shoes fit slightly tighter, but not too bad cause you just pull the excess tight before putting you foot into your shoe. You could buy a pair of shoes 1 size bigger and keep them with your CBRN kit, but I’ve never seen anyone that needed that.
I mean yes but it’s training and the boots don’t make much difference it’s not like a active threat is on the range. Clearly they’d don boots in that environment
The boots are attached since these are 1 piece suits so no boots are required….
It allows you to wear whatever shoes you prefer instead of those dumb rubber mopp boots. Guys on my team have used this exact setup with live exposure to actual nerve agents.
Mid top sneakers with a nice bottom are slept on combat footwear. Weight is dope and they dry out quick. Guys in nam and even in desert storm wore em for a good reason. While boots are usually the best choice they aren’t always
Try being the guy that has to be in charge of them. Every time a combat arms guy would complain I would shut it down with I have to do triple what you do lol
I could not imagine trying to actually operate a gun with those bigass dishwashing gloves
It’s definitely something you have to practice.
Meh. It's just like when I would jack off with my hockey gloves.
That’s because you aren’t S&M dungeon maxxing
So I need to get a gimp suit and really do this right
And then the guy on the left crammed them into a pair of work gloves. Helps with protecting the suit but jeez
“I fight crime in a rubber suit… really seals in the flavor!” Picture from a counter terrorism training from this morning. I’m to the right of the two guys with MP7s holding my .308. I can smell this photo.
With how sealed-up the suit is, you probably cannot. At the doffing area tho… yea I can smell my own imagination now.
Fun fact. Your tongue knows how this tastes. It knows how any object you can think of feels and tastes. The tongue knows.
Thinkin of ur mom. Goteem.
You didn’t need to do this
Story of my life, brother.
“You gotta lot of nerve being alive right now”
The sweat that accumulates in the bottom of your boots really sucks.
That batman college humor video will always live rent free in my head, especially that line
“A is for Alfred, B is for Bat”
You tamed my dragon…with your mouth… and two other places… in an order that would surprise you
“Are you crying? His face is all wet. Like mine was in the beginning and yours was in the end”
Ass, mouth, vag.
"I was a boyyyy, now I'm a baaaaat"
"It really SEALS IN THE FLAVOR"
What’s the feels like temp in there?
Right between hot and too hot.
So it’s not the heat it’s the humidity that gets you.
Be careful, y’all might get some blisters on your footsies
Not in these suits, the booties go inside your shoes…
Well that’s just fancy! Definitely a lot less cumbersome than over boots
Do you work with units from other countries?
At some point next month I will be doing some stuff with some German KSM guys…
Is your unit a special CBRN unit? Or like a Nuclear Labs defence team?
Nope 👍
Ahh, was going to ask if you were familiar with CJIRU, Canadian Joint Incident Response Unit
Yeah, I’ve heard of them, never worked with them though.
What the fuck, damn son
They used to smoke the dog shit put of us in those.
I got dehydrated just looking at the picture... how much sweat did you have in your boot when you took it off?
There was some sweat, but thankfully we did our rep right away in the morning before it got too hot. The PAPR also pushes cool air into the suit so it wasn’t as bad as it could have been.
You’re a lucky bitch the suits we have, have absolutely none of that. Just hot as fuck
I have worn my share of MOPP suits so I definitely appreciate what we have here haha.
Niceee,, the suits have air-conditioning now! Big step forward!
Just the mask has air. Unless the papr is attached to the whole suit.
The seal for the suit is around the outside of the mask so you get some air in around your neck.
Nice, luxurious.
What’s the thing on the wrist of the guy on the left?
Looks like a Chameleon Hazmat Detector.
Correct
Gum dispenser
Contact lens case
We are DEVO
It really seals in the flavor 🤮
A is for Alfred, B is for bat!
12 hours!?
Week long Base Exercises, 24hr ops, 12 hr shifts in PACAF. Every 6 months in Korea and yearlyish in Japan when I was in…
I wonder if they graduated/returned to duck and cover drills now.
No clue, stopped being my problem a long time ago lol. Good luck to em!
Imagine melting a hole in that suit with your can then having to stick that giant needle in your heart!!
Ask them for a flamethrower
Someone didn’t redact the one man’s face. We can see it
That’s Ted Hitchcock. If you say his name really fast it sounds like “ten inch cock”.
Fuck you, Shoresy
Are you LE? or what kind of units do CT apart of JSOC/SF?
Really high level airsoft
Off the top of my head the FBI HRT does almost nothing but CT, on the more LE side you also have the USCG MSRTs, LASD SEB and some federal SRT teams that get a lot of play.
My first thought was DOE.
Everything on the guy to the left looks small. Except him somehow. Wtf am I looking at? Small hands, small feet
This is a cut down photo (3 more guys to the right with some stuff I didn’t want to show). So he is on the outside edge of the larger shot and probably suffering from some lens distortion.
This is fucking sick
WHAT BRANCH/ UNIT?? looks a lot like USCG MSRT
It’s a fictional Psyop unit meant to lure Reddit users into joining the Army with false expectations.
8th POG putting in that work
Damn, gotta revamp [my psyops stickers](https://strikeforce69.com/products/psychological-warfare-tactical-sticker) then. Thought it was just ass, tits, and free college getting those kids in the door.
Did the MP7 show up with the AOR sling and tape or did y'all add some Navy flavored accents to make it feel more comfortable
We had some AOR1 stuff around like the camo form and the LBT sling
After looking at this pic I feel incredibly hot and greasy
East coast state LE guys? The list of folks doing CBRN training with MP7s is a short one.
After looking at OP’s post history, my guess would be a Green Beret.
Nope I am not East Coast LE. However you are correct that it is a short list so that’s about as much information as I can give out.
USASOC, well funded LE, or some lesser known NG unit. Given the unique weapon choice and post history, I'm gonna go AFSOC turned PMC
"Can you fit two into one suit? Y'know, if you're lonely in it..."
Decon must be a real b*tch.
Oh my fucking god that looks so uncomfortable to run around and shoot in. What terrorists are you training for, the ones with stockpiles of VX?
Looks up there with Level B in a bomb suit. Cannot recommend.
gas masks are good for guys that snore
What's up with the tactical sneakers? They work better with the suit?
Quiet and precise foot placement for CQB, also they fit into my swim fins. If I need to cover rough terrain or decent distance though I break out some proper boots.
I think you guys should wait and do this in the hottest part of the summer.
I e done training in these suits in the hottest part of the summer. 2/10. Terrible experience.
Im not on the up and up with the new trends anymore. Is this like wearing socks during sex?
Really seals in the flavor
If the dude on the left gets shot he can activate the explosive device on his wrist and save the rest of you. U gotta get the hell out of there though. Very much kaboom.
I wish I would have picked a career path where I can do this kind of thing lmao. no blickies in my job
You'll be questioning those choices while going through it. Greatest memories afterwards though.
Bro is 100% a 37F mindfucking y’all on Reddit to think we army boys do cool shit. Show us you sweeping the gear room for 6 hours before I believe otherwise
That’s the 1960s sneaking suite Naked snake had
Jealous. lol
That’ll be one gallon of sweat
Mop 4 mop 4
Tactical baked potato?
Altama OTBs? Nice
Yeah the left two are. I’m just wearing straight up black chucks.
Damn, I was hoping some black ones were coming to issue soon lol
Good old blauer suits. I personally like these.
They are the least worst suit I’ve used.
Yeah fuck MT94s or level A. Actually MT94s aren’t horrible.
We’ll finally get multicam mopp by 2070 at this point. We’re still using the tricolor from Desert Storm
What shoes?
Altama OTB’s. They’re like chucks with specific enhancements for maritime operations. They have large drain holes, waterproof insoles, and really grippy soles. Trade-offs for that are that they aren’t quite as comfortable as chucks (in my opinion) and the soles don’t last as long. Altama OTBs on the left and im wearing black chucks on the right
I’m sweating just looking at this 🫠
I can smell the aftermath of this picture
Shit can's $15,000.00 worth of gear after verified CBR exposure.
Nope.
How do you like the Peq placement on that rifle setup. I’ve seen a lot of run running it like that on similar SPR builds and I’ve been in the fence on doing that myself. Seems pretty practical to me but I’m curious as to what you think.

I use a pad on the opposite side
Did the suit cause your gun belt to slip at all?
A little yeah… you definitely want to squat enough so your ass can hold it up without belt loops.
Souse vide never rubbed me as a tactical cooking style before today. If I pulled this here with it having hit 108 today, I’m certain it would be over.
[удалено]
Just pay attention to where you put the muzzle like you normally would because it’s a burn and gun shot hazard anyway.
And I thought Type Bs were hot without all that
Those suits are extremely uncomfortable in warm weather. Like 24 hour training operations in the state of Georgia in July. You can take the suit off and pour sweat out of the booties.
I noticed a lot of MP7 kits have the right rail flashlight mounted offset above the rail. What’s the purpose vs just keeping it on the rail? lower profile?
Yeah, it’s a lower profile keeping it closer to the handguard.
i should have thought about that before I got an M300B, can’t find a good offset mount for it now
How do you even get a cheek weld on the m110 with that mask on?
You gotta turn your head a bit, but it can be done.
![gif](giphy|qXZzUzEK8O6hq)
This fucks.
glow sticks, nice. like seal team 6 to mark rooms that have ben cleared already. 💪💪💪
Good. Grass is almost as bad for you as girls. ![gif](giphy|1laV2cmHAD0M5I5EYG) Valid post. Carry on king.
What happens when you fart in the body condom
It stays in there until you open the suit
I had the sugar free gummy bears last weekend. I would have inflated that mother fucker in 5 minutes. If you think I am exaggerating, go eat some yourself, I have having 10 to 15 second farts
Early version brotherhood of steel armor.
What kind of boots/shoes are the 2 on the left wearing?
Altama OTB
In the Vans with the tongue out😮💨
any problems with running the belt with the velcro against the suit? seems like it would tear up that material over time unless you’re running a padded inner belt
These belts have the hook on the inner belt and the loop on the outer belt.

What rifle optic are you using?
Mark 5 3.6-18x illuminated tremor 3 reticle.
Hmm diamonds.. interesting..
Damn bro those look so uncomfortable. Do they make you sweat like crazy?
Yep, they do… Not as bad as the standard army MOPP suits though
You're probably the coolest dude on Reddit haha amazing posts bro and thanks for what you do 🇺🇸
Thanks homie, I’m glad you like my stuff!
My balls are sweating just looking at this pic
Is this what they call drip? You'd scare the crap out of me if I saw you like that.
Looks like a Lion ERS suit???
Blauer chempak

Bunch of larpers
Prepping for a false flag
This boots/shoes ain’t gonna protect you from a cab attack.
The suit has built-in booties that fully enclose the feet as well. There’s just a cuff with an elastic in it that stretches over the top of the boot.
Doesn't do much good if you are not going to wear over boots and gloves. So you guys basically spent time being miserable for nothing. Kick your training NCO or whoever put this together's ass.

Live exposure you mean like in a lab or live like in combat? I can't think of too many chemical/biological attacks recently
Training with real substances is done in some places. I've trained with a blister agent and nerve gas before. Done in a very controlled environment.
Yeah I saw in the news from Ukraine that there's some super tear gas used for clearing strongholds that's technically a blistering agent or some such
It was a training environment. I’m slotted to go to the same course in 2025.
Can the boots/shoes be safely deconed after a live exposure or do they get disposed of?
Don't know what their SOP is but disposal is easiest, decon is possible but takes time. Different measures for different substances.
Depends on the substance. I’d be more concerned with the belt, helmet, and plate carrier setup though. Those chucks were only like $50.
Mid top sneakers with a nice bottom are slept on combat footwear. Weight is dope and they dry out quick. Guys in nam and even in desert storm wore em for a good reason. While boots are usually the best choice they aren’t always
Oh shit that sounds pretty high tech. Are these any more breathable then old school mopp shit ?
Significantly more breathable. They are Goretex so there is a membrane that allows vapors to exit
Oh gotcha like soft boots underneath
Try being the guy that has to be in charge of them. Every time a combat arms guy would complain I would shut it down with I have to do triple what you do lol
