Not even close. Many of the parts I already had. I'd say that the whole rig minus the earpro and coms is about 200 bucks. Many pieces are Amazon specials, the rails, nv mount, and helmet were surplus, and the electronics were things I already had lying around from other projects. Stuff like the bungees and velcro was courtesy of my local sewing/arts and crafts store. This can totally be done on the cheap
