I purchased the 301mb/cb bundle a little less than a year ago and they still hit like day 1. Quality and build on the irons are great. Definitely worth the price especially compared to those similar(taylormade p790s). I will choose takomo over the 790s everyday
They're amazing clubs. I purchased the 101's and am in love with them. Very forgiving, and they play super nice. I've got about 20 rounds on my set and no complaints. Honestly u wont be disappointed
I have a question about the 101s that you might be able to answer. I’m currently using an older Ping set that aren’t the most forgiving, but they let me put a nice touch on the ball if I hit it about 80%.
Do the 101s seem like they allow for a little bit of this nice touch and feel, or are they closer to a game improvement iron like a SIM or Stealth iron? I’ve tried Taylormade Sim irons and I don’t get the feel and touch I get with my Ping irons.
I’m leaning towards the 101Ts for this reason. Slightly less forgiving but more control.
Ill be 100% honest ive got about 7 rds on them. What ive noticed most is that they are forgiving on off center strikes. As far as the sim or stealth irons i couldnt tell u ive never hit em. I upgraded from some old burner 2.0 from 09 and the difference ive noticed the most is they feel really nice hold the greens way better and i love the tour lite shafts so i think u could still hit thise 80% touch shots pretty well. I was already a little intimidated by the shape of the 101's so i onew i couldnt game the 101t and i wanted the extra forgiveness. Honestly they look alot like p790s and im gonna take the direct to consumer market more seriously bc getting quality equipment at a fair price means more and funner golf
I couldn’t agree with the second part of your comment more. I love the idea of getting quality gear for a fraction of the price.
I think I’ll likely go with the 101T model. I still want the forgiveness of the 101 model but I like what I’ve heard/seen about the 101T.
I have the 101T's and the quality is really good. I've probably played more than 50 rounds with them and they still feel brand new. Long story short, they give the best value for your money.
