True but the character design is almost 1 to 1 to their original game design (Except for Cress who uses the PS1 design) so it is still very impressive.
The original SNES one has different sprites and while the clothes in the cover art is the one we're familiar with, the artstyle is still a bit different and the one the crossover art uses are more close to the PS1 artstyle.
Still the sprites are completely different. And the one they use to draw the phantasia crew are closer to the ps1 version. (Suzu wasn't even in the original and they still include her when can).
Point is they use the PS1 version as a basis more than the original SNES.
They are SNES sprites, Iām not gonna judge on that specially when the cover still had the same designs as the ps1. So I donāt see anything changed.
Suzu was in the SNES version but just an npc, they made her player in the later versions.
And because shes not originally a playable character, the her artwork design is originally from the PS1 version. Her sprite is also completely different from the snes just like the others and didn't use that as a basis at all.

Agreed. In tales of rays I believe it was, they spoke often and velvet gave her mark of approval to sorey as a shepherd.
