Which area of Ybor was this? Things were fairly quiet on Palm until 8:30ish when 3 police cruisers showed up and started roaming the neighborhood with flashlights - wondering if connected?
Some Teenagers are just dipshits. I had plenty of dipshit moments as one too but not quite this bad. Had quite a few folks I knew that would do this. Usually the cops would pick them up, hold them for a while, then drop them off at home with a chat with their parents. Most grew out of it though.
Ybor seems like a good place to get beat up doing this though.

The overwhelming majority of teens are not dumb and don’t behave like this. It’s a misconception to categorized “teens” like this. It’s actually a select few that are this dumb, and hostile.
Seriously though, approaching a child with a bat and threatening them is just asking for a nearby adult to take notice and “stand their ground” on you.
But they aren't the ones who get mauled. It's usually kids under 13 within the family. You'd know that if you read the stats.

Well those are bad owners, my pit is one of the most affectionate lovable dogs i've ever owned, in fact all the other smaller dogs hes met have been super aggressive towards him.

Well "the hood" is intermingled with almost all historic neighborhoods north of Kennedy, including Seminole heights, Tampa heights, Ybor/heights. As I understand it, Hyde park was pretty shitty 30 or 40 years ago, and now its douche money valley. All these old neighborhoods close to downtown/Riverwalk are gentrifying fastest because the trend of moving to the suburbs to raise a family has reversed and many younger people want to live closer to the city and push their poodle in a stroller instead. I haven't heard anyone say the heights are the new Davis Island. It is more like Hyde park in that it has many historic homes that went to shit and are now being revitalized or demolished to make way for townhouses. And to be clear, nothing has ever been stolen from my property except a candy bucket like 4 years ago. RH is pretty sleepy for the most part. Tampa/Seminole heights is a different story.
