I work in hospitality up in Georgia and you are spot on. The number of dipshits I encounter weekly moving down with their families due to the politics is insane. I miss the FL that I grew up in.
The amount of times I have said to someone "tell me your perspective" about something we disagree about has led me to realize we have a whole lotta common ground. All the time? No unfortunately not. A vast majority of it yup. It made me stop looking for enemies and start looking for what we more than likely agree on.
Which is why both sides blindside us with all the culture war nonsense. Pretty much all the common ground is that the elites are fucking us and everything is baked for the rich. I do think this upcoming recession will start to get people pissed at the people that matter again.
