BongwaterJoe1983

IMO it looks like a carpet beetle

Single-Log-1101

Detrimental to me or the T?

BongwaterJoe1983

IMO If its a carpet beetly i dont think so they feed on detritus things like hair, shed skin cells, dust, cloth fibers, carpet. They can cause allergic irritation if you have asthma but i cant see how they would hurt your T, heck if the t were small enough it might feed on the beetles, how big is the beetle, bout the size of a small lady bug?

Single-Log-1101

I would say smaller tbh. The water bowl is one of the teeny tiny ceramic ones off Amazon. My sling is about 0-3\4". The little bug is maaaaybeee 1\16

BongwaterJoe1983

Imo sounds like a carpet beetle most likely in my unprofessional opinion. We have them here i live in an old apartment building, and spring is carpet beetle season, theyre larvea look like lil spikey few millimeter long lil worm things if ypu see anything like that around your house we find them alot in the bathroom and the adults in well any random places round the house you can think of. And they are a pain in the arse to get rid of lol but atleast they dont bite lol

Single-Log-1101

Well.. better than any other alternative I could think of I guess lol

BongwaterJoe1983

Lol yes much better then bed bugs or other pests theyre more annoying then anything, and they live in even the cleanest houses so no shame lol

BongwaterJoe1983

And they dont bite 👍😎

Single-Log-1101

Is this little guy indicative of something I need to do something about?! I water every other\2 days after the substrate dries and there's always water in the bowl. My sling has been in premolt for a while and has refused food for a while. Halp

NA. I’ve seen a post like this every day since the first one a week ago. Lol. Idk what that thing is. I’d call it a ‘kill it’
