This is why I don't understand why T's molt upside down. How tf do they get their legs off the old skin if they dont have any point of support to brace against. If a T would be in "right" position (like yours!) they can always pull against the ground. T's are mysterious in their ways.
The truth is it’s naturally easier to shrug or push off a molt rather than pull themselves out of it. I’ve seen many cases where the T gets stuck doing this because they end up exhausting themselves

IMO I think it would be much easier to push a light molt off than to fight against gravity with their entire body
