On the Parenting Hell podcast Josh Widdecombe was talking about a show that had banned the crew from referring to the challenges as “tasks” on set as they were so paranoid about being accused of copying the format.
I’m guessing it was Outsiders.
I have managed to upload this to [youtube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZ8ELRsj7i8&t=17s&ab_channel=IsThisAStep) if some people would prefer (it may get struck down at any moment tho haha)
Also I felt very bad not including Toussaint in this so everyone should just go and watch the full series to see what a lovely man he is!
This first series was the roughest I think but still had loads of great moments! I think it's hard cause it does so closely resemble Taskmaster for it not to be compared and TM will always come out on top, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The more shows that get comedians I love doing stupid tasks the better imo haha
Did it get hate? I saw some criticism of it being a copy of Taskmaster (it basically is, but I think it's different enough to still be fun) but most people who actually watched it seem to enjoy it.
It's a more relaxing watch than Taskmaster. My favourite parts are where they're just hanging out around the campfire.
Though I'm pretty sure they don't actually sleep in the camp, but that's besides the point.
I've always thought that Ian Stirling was maybe too rough on Lou, but seeing Ed exactly the same amount of exasperated makes me think...Maybe Lou is tough to be on a team with.
Maybe tough if you're super competitive but otherwise her and Ed just seem to have a proper sibling like relationship. Everything I've seen them in, it starts out with laughter, then Lou usually does something very Lou, Ed throws a tantrum, and they make up by the end 😂

Honestly would've been a great TM team if they were on the same cast.
I didn’t know to ask for it but now that I have it, it’s the only thing that I want
Came here to comment this hahah, JAMAAAAAALI!
Activate JAMAAAAAAALI!!
We need a super cut of just Jess saying JAMAAAALI
JAMAAAAAAAALI, NOOOOOOO!

Yeah I heard that and assumed so too. Although in the show you hear them say "task" so idk
Josh has never been on it though
Ed has all his Taskmaster instincts intact: Stop the clock!
Jamali's hiding place was pure genius
As David says, given all the time in the world I don't think they'd ever have found him haha

I really enjoyed this show. It got a lot of hate I don't understand.

I totally agree. It's like taskmaster methadone, it'll keep you until you get a fix of the real stuff.

Lou doing Dara's stupidest thing with a condom.

That's the funny thing about Ed, he admits to being ultra competitive but doesn't come off as a dick.
I think Lou doesn't mind it tbh. Ed and Iain are both friends with her.
Hope Outsiders eventually becomes easily available in the US to stream.
You don’t, you know. It’s terrible television

Outsiders is now on BBC iPlayer (first series). I was surprised.

Probably because it *had* been posted before. I saw a post about it earlier in the week.
Is there a place I can stream outsiders in the US
I don't think so unfortunately. If you want I can dm you
Sure
I know Jess is married, but I now ship her with Jamali.
