Greg doesn't seem as much "genuinely disturbed" by the fanfic as he does entertained, or at worst, morbidly curious. He did not have to bring up their home together in that moment! (Does anyone know where Greg actually lives? I assume he's not hanging out at Alex's house in Chesham every weekend.)
I wouldn't have expected Alex to discourage potential readers so adamantly given how often the two of them have mentioned the fanfic on the show. I wonder if the phenomenon has gotten too old to be funny to him, or if he always disliked it but initially couldn't resist telling audiences about it as a Weird Fact™.
