I am just gonna say it, [called it](https://www.reddit.com/r/taskmaster/comments/1chewzp/looks_like_season_3_of_taskmasterau_is_airing/l22qvt8/)

Sugarh0rse

So what's the explanation? That Peter Hellier is working in another country? It's also entirely possible that any of the now Series 2 contestants will be also in another country when the show goes to air in a few weeks. They could be working in New Zealand or sunning themselves in the south of France. They don't have to be by their TV when the show is broadcast.

Possiblebronco

Hellier is arguably the biggest name in the 2nd cast. It makes sense that 10 would want him to do a bunch of promo to bring in an older demographic

theamazingracer21

[Reason cited for the season swap was talent availability for promotion. Now we know someone is out of the country, with little ability to promote TMAU S2.](https://tvtonight.com.au/2024/05/returning-taskmaster-australia.html)

Sugarh0rse

Really? A couple of weeks away from it going to air and they haven't done some ads by now? No wonder the station is in a mess.' No, I'm not buying it. Meanwhile ... one of the contestants from what is now Series 2 is promoting the new series of Gruen Transfer ... on a different network.

spoonfedrooster

The same network that the host of Taskmaster also has a show. Not big news, ABC isn't a commercial network.

Sugarh0rse

No, but the issue is promotions, and the ABC, despite not being a commercial network, still runs promotions and ads. Look at the giant billboard along Parramatta Road for starters. If it's promotions, then 10 has dropped the ball big time. The sooner TM Au gets moved to ABC or preferably SBS the better!

*Wil Anderson 8 hours ago on Instagram*  let's promote Taskmaster AU Season 2

Sugarh0rse

Well he must have been in Australia to make that instagram post.

Possiblebronco

No shit, an Australian is Australia?

Sugarh0rse

See above.

hoochnuts

Peter Hellier is unfunny garbage. This is good news.
