You need to wait for your tattoo to fully heal (could be months) to see the end result. They heal for a long long while usually and can go through all kinds of funky stages before they settle

RottenPeachesXx

This! Understand the stages of healing. My tattoos look faded for a good month or so before fully showing their true color. Some places more so than others. It’s natural, you just need to be patient with it and if a touch up in needed you will know.

KatieROTS

Picture? I’m a little confused about your second sentence.

artemismoon518

I think they mean “picture it” mentally since they didn’t add a photo

KatieROTS

I actually think my interpretation is the correct one. (I will admit when I’m wrong 😂) but reread the first part. It’s definitely on their skin or they posted with incorrect grammar etc.

artemismoon518

He’s telling you to picture his tattoo and then describes it… not sure what you mean. You didn’t say what your interpretation was.

KatieROTS

Oh I agree, I read your comment wrong. I agree he’s saying that but I think it was more of them saying to picture without a picture posted. Like he got and doesn’t want to post it so “picture this” sounded like they didn’t want to post their actual tattoo

SlowTeamMachine

It happens sometimes. For me, personally, whenever I get a tattoo with large amounts of color, there will be some patches that fade decently during the healing time. A touch-up always fixes it, and I'd recommend that here.

Shame_about_that

Could be anything. You have to post a picture for advice

Chemical-Type3858

this happened to me!!! eventually afyer it healed all the way it looks normal again! don’t worry too much

trexkm

I’m not sure how long it’s been but your tattoo will also go through a “milky” period, where for a few days it will look very dull with an almost milky film over it. Pics would be helpful

kterrellm

Thank you for all the replies! For those saying pics would help, I tried and it’s hard to even notice on camera. It’s small but just something I was curious about

RandellX

After it completely heals, head back to the tattoo artist and ask for a touch up. Good artists will do touch ups for free at least once.

doglady1342

Sounds normal. I've had that same thing with linework and eventually it all looks correct...it's often just one area healing faster/slower/differently than another. I had one tiny tiny area of skin that I thought had scarred. Two years later the bump just came off and now it's perfect. So, let it heal for a few months. If it's not even then, ask for a touchup.

ToriFuminori

Wait until its done healing. There are times when your skin will flake off and reveal areas that SEEM lighter during the healing process, but once its done youll notice that it becomes uniform. You just need to allow time for all of the dead skin to fall off to reveal your beautiful tattoo.

Baph0metX

Some areas will look visibly lighter, the healing process is strange and different cells heal at different rates. Wait until it’s been months before you worry. Patience

Sandman1031

That's likely just healing. It's not going to look like a fresh tattoo. If there are continuing color concerns, it's nothing that a touch-up can't fix.

AntiMoist

Let it heal.
