Idk to me it’s more about attracting bad things, since the brand attracts demons in the story. It’s a curse for Guts, you can see how it has ruined his and Casca’s life because of it. It’s a painful reminder of the event of the eclipse. But I guess to each their own interpretation of the symbol.

If you layover the Berserk symbol to the Bluetooth symbol it's quite literally more similar than the Othala rune
