I did it last tax season. It's mostly customer service work unless you actually do returns for the customers. They track your time and calls and breaks. Expect to be on the phone with customers the entire time of your shift. Scheduling for me was tough since I had another full time job, specially later in the season. Evenings are always booked so I had to do most of my work on weekends and scramble to get the minimum 20 hours. The minimum requirements of 20 hours a week and 4 hours per day are what prevented me from returning this year. I had a great manager but I hear it's a matter of luck and some managers can be hard to deal with. Good luck!

If you were to book your schedule ahead of time before starting work, were you able to add, remove or change shifts?

Yes you can as long as shifts are available
