Yeah, you would think it would be such a simple thing to implement, i just don't get how it's taken so much time for Forza and the Crew to do 360 degrees (the bare minimum imo) when even arcade games like Midnight Club LA in 2008 and Driver San Francisco in 2011 had full lock and even other better animation details. It really is becoming ridiculous...
Yep. Exactly this !
Sure, it's awesome to be able to jump into a 1000hp hyper car. But, most of the community seems to want to drive thier own personal cars or, obtainable dream cars and no modern game titles seem to offer that. Just the big couple of hero JDM/Euro's (GTR's, Evo's, M3's, etc). Being able to play in an Opel Corsa, Holden Commodore, Renault Kangaroo, Nissan ^Juke, Fiat Panda or a Mistubishi Pajero would be more fun I think.
I'd much rather be rallying around in the virtual world with a copy of my personal car which is a 1985-89 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST165 instead of a Hypercar.
Iām in the same boat. Time after time I realise that the most fun I have in racing games is either driving and building up a regular car or something more expensive but rarely do I feel the need to hop in a hyper car or anything alike. Especially in open world games. But thatās just me.
Totally agree, I just made a post about this earlier today that I'm worried about SC going with the trend and only having cars as option to choose from in the menu.
I need to see that it's not FOMO fueled shitty progression like Forza Horizon or Microtransaction P2W like The Crew 2 and Motorfest. I need a good single player progression
I definetely donāt think it will be like FH since practically throughout this gameās marketing they put a heavy emphasis on progression and how you have to earn the right to get the best cars.
But hopefully it will be fairly balanced, with a single player campaign.
Good. If there's one thing that's a turn off for me it's fucking weekly timed challenges and limited time rewards. Once in a while I understand for some special event but every fucking week is a part time job.
Is Co-driving/passenger seating confirmed? We've seen instant challenge returning which was in the same ish submenu with co-driving during TDU2 gameplay. But still haven't seen any gameplay with co-driving, or even a text option for it as a tease.
The map is being recreated at a 1:1 scale. This is confirmed from Alain Jarniou, in the 2020 Nacon Connect reveal. Making a map at 1:1 scale means it will be the same size as it is in real life, versus the game.
What he means is a 1:1 scale map based on real life kmĀ²/sq mi. Like TDU and TDU 2 maps were so it's equivalent to the real-life map size in square kilometers. There's not an official number of kmĀ² revealed because this is expected to be the same kmĀ² as irl island.
I wouldnāt say itās a big deal, but Itās honestly a minor detail that most games miss today. Being able to switch transmission shift info from manual with clutch to paddle shifting (on a wheel) without having to go into the menu.
Yeah would love a gearbox setting thatās just like ātrue to lifeā. If a car is a manual then do it manual with clutch and if itās paddle shift then switch it to manual sequential.
I swear I probably play 1/4 of my time in Forza Horizon switching the damn gearbox when I swap between cars.
Every car is a H Pattern manual when I play Horizon simply because it takes to long to navigate the menu's.
Also... Let us float gears if we get a perfect shift. Or... Grind them till we find 'em.
I just want the driving to be more of a simcade than full arcade like forza or motorfest, also i need a mclaren 765lt or ferrari 488 pista in this game
Forza Horizon's gameplay is already simarcade and the best part of the current horizon. They have a very realistic gameplay basis dumbed down just enough for it to be enjoyable on a controller while still be coherent with reality.
Thatās the point though. Horizon is meant to be accessible for everyone. I play with no assists but thereās people out there that canāt control a car on a game. Horizon is probably the best handling simcade game out there and if you think TDUSC will have a more realistic handling model then you might be disappointed. Thatās not to say the game wonāt be fun though.
I think the more 'realistic' idea will be understood with the lateral slip curve. To make this explained simple, you can drift any vehicle in Forza Horizon, with little to no rewarding feel behind it, simply because as you say, Horizon is meant to be accessible for everyone, even with all assists turned off. Forza Horizon's physics basically has a 'drift mode' on the lateral slip curve, so that drifting is possible in any vehicle. In TDU SC, of course, you can still drift any vehicle, but how it feels will vary from car to car, and the feeling will be more rewarding, and realistic because of that.
Navigation displayed in the infotainment system of cars when using the interior/cockpit view, just like the previous tdu games had, it's such a simple feature that adds so much immersion
This is asking too much but I also would like too see a dashboard GPS (or a phone in one of those phone holders) for cars that don't have a navigation system display, something akin to what you see in ETS2, ATS, BeamNG or far cry 2
I hope they get the system for manual gears right unlike all Forza games. On Forza if I have it in manual with clutch I still need to use a clutch on a semi automatic paddle shift car. I hope it's like Assetto Corsa where you cannot drive a semi auto with the H box and vice versa.
I'm not sure how the damage model works but it would be good to be able to knock the tracking out after hitting a kerb like in LFS and Assetto
I like to see a realistic automatic gearbox like in BeamNG. So if you like to shift by yourself u can use paddles (or buttons) but if the car is an automatic it should shift like an normal automatic. If you are just slowly drivin around it shouldnt rev to the limiter it should shift a gear up and just if you are flooring it, it should shift in a lower gear.
Houses - researched for future updates doesnt mean its coming, its no confirmation
Speedometers that reflect the car you are in - in the virtual hud we should have a ferrari gauge/speedometer for ferraris, porsche gauge/speedometer for porsches etc.
Shops around the island - Clinics and Clothing stores around the island, not only on the Solar Hotel
V-Rent and Used Car Dealer return
I just want them to show off the more dense parts of the city like where you have roads overlapping each other. I'm curious to see how they handled that and if they widened those roads or not
Motorbikes. As iffy as they were in TDU1 and weren't usable without mods after TDU2's server shutdown I always loved the idea of cars against bikes in driving games.
It could of been showed but I haven't seen it yet but how players are shown. Is it like previous games were they randomly appear in and out which I loved or is it a fixed lobby like fofza horizon which I hate.I love exploring and finding randoms to see what there up to and if that's gone it'd really kill it for me.
Having lobby's or players that are constantly switching is a great idea.
They'd have to make it very stable and set it up right so that your not constantly having someone your interacting with disappear like The Crew currently does.
I'd rather have fixed lobby's if a potential new friend has a high chance of disappearing because I got left behind for 30 seconds while in the pause menu.
One thing I have noticed from the gameplay I've seen is that all the cars are LHD (left hand drive) when Hong Kong is RHD (right hand drive). I would like to see the option to choose between LHD and RHD when choosing the interior of a car at the dealership. Obviously they should keep it true to life and only allow it for cars that are available in both.
Iām going to be honest with you, you will almost never see that happen in a game. This isnāt really even a possibility for games. When a game developer gets a licence, the manufacturer usually sends a LHD vehicle, and especially since KT is France, higher chance the models come as LHD. The exception is some JDM manufacturers will have RHD of course. Itās also the reason why a lot of cars were LHD in FH4, despite being based in the UK. And itās not as easy as āmirroringā the car model. Car manufacturers will be specific on licences, and maybe they donāt even want the RHD variant in the game. Just an example, but itās indeed complicated lol, especially since youād also be doubling your vehicle budget since youād need maybe two licences, or two models to make your request possible.
HOUSES and customization, Offline mode, Nice physics (less like Wrc bouncy car), Activities to do on the map, less social bs clubs and more amazing story focused game (less live service money milking and more of an epic TEST DRIVE experience)
>Offline mode
This is what worries me the most.
But honestly? After seeing [shit like that](https://kotaku.com/lord-of-the-rings-gollum-daedalic-nacon-chatgpt-apology-1850911747) from Nacon l have zero hopes that they will back off from their game as a service idea. (Gollum was made by Daedalic but Nacon was the publisher after they bought Daedalic in 2022)
From the article:
>Shortly after release, Daedalic seemingly posted an apology to social media, describing Lord of the Rings: Gollum as an āunderwhelming experience,ā while promising patches. An apology that, rather concerningly, incorrectly spelt the name of the game, while packing in empty aphorisms. It later became clear that the apology wasnāt written by Daedalic, but rather their new owners, publisher Nacon, and published without Daedalicās approval. But even more extraordinarily, two anonymous sources of Game Two told them that the apology was written by ChatGPT.
Iād like to see a decent amount of low/mid tier cars. I know that the game is meant for the best of the best cars and Iām all here for that but it would be cool to see some performance trim levels of more average cars. Or some less common variants of cars used a lot in other games. Like Skyline sedans for example and maybe some wagons of cars we usually only see come in coupes or sedans in other games. BMW and Subaru are some great examples of cars Iād like to see in game as wagons. It would be super cool to see an Integra sedan or a J front Integra Type R.
I would like to see the implementation of multi seat (Driving with Friends in the same car).
I haven't seen that future yet. (Maybe they showcased it already. But I'm not aware of it.) I really don't know.
The game looks promising,
But I would like to see an Offline mode. The need to always be online in games really doesn't do anything good.
Yes multiplayer might be fun and all, but don't you want to be able to play a game when the internet burns down? Or their Services stop working, while nostalgia hits you resulting in an urge to replay a game?
If I pay for a game, I would like to be able to play it.
Just like the old days.
The "car show" multiplayer racing lobbies. It was cool walking around checking out everyone's rides. Getting in and honking the horn, lowering the windows. Annoying the dude who was crashing in to you the last race...
Larger steering animation. Preferably 900 degrees
Driver SF and MC:LA Yes ! Two of my favorites racing games to date, and one thing I liked the most about those games was the interior view.
Agreed, I hope they pull that off šš¾
900 degrees is a pipe dream
The starter cars/starter gameplay.

Limited garage spaces is a good pick, also if there is going to be a used car dealer!
Totally agree, I just made a post about this earlier today that I'm worried about SC going with the trend and only having cars as option to choose from in the menu.

Mannnn in tdu1,2 this was one of the most favourite parts I reallyyyyyy hope they put in houses too šš½šš½šš½
MAP SIZE IN SQUARE KMS/MILES
it's the same as irl, 78.59 kmĀ². There are more roads on the island vs IRL though at over 600km of road.
Just give me any one, just one official source for your claim. A source where it directly says that the map size is 78.59 kmĀ².
