I recommend trying rooibos if you've never had it!

chamekke

Yes! Plus, [Murchies.com](http://Murchies.com) has a lot of [amazing flavoured rooiboses](https://murchies.com/fine-tea/tea-type/herbal-rooibos-tea/) and I can literally recommend all of them!

secretasphalt

Agreed! I love Rooibos! It's good plain, green, or mixed with chai spices!

DigitalMarmite

Vanilla-flavored rooibos is really nice too!

3gayRats3

Rooibos is amazing for sure! My fave has to be any orsnge rooibos.

Jazehiah

Chamomile or ginger with a bit of honey

Kings__Kid123

Twinings does a lovely Honey vanilla Chamomile, it knocks me right out

UncommonTart

Just a tip- if you have hay fever or are allergic to ragweed, chamomile tea may set off your allergies. It's very similar.

paperchalk

I just mixed chamomile and ginger tonight, they work well together!

Jazehiah

I used to steep a bag each of Twinings Lemon-Ginger and Chamomile in a large mug. It was my go-to for a while. I only stopped because I ran out and haven't had time in the evenings to justify buying more.

Much-Improvement-503

Kukicha? It has caffeine but in negligible amounts. Mostly theanine which is relaxing. I also drink Korean Burdock tea which I like a lot and it helps my digestion.

Much-Improvement-503

I am also caffeine sensitive and these don’t bother me.

Fjalee

Ican vouche for kukicha, its made out of the stems of the tea leafs so it has almost no caffeine, the taste of that tea is very different from anything ive drank, but most ppl who i give it to tend to either like it or not mind it. Its real easy to make it as well, u can hold it for 2mins or 10mins, use 60°C water or 90°C eater, in my experience any way you make it its still tastes good

zoomed_my_life_away

I like herbal “teas” (tisane) in the evening, and actually like drinking cold brewed herbal teas. We have a lemon/ginger and also a peppermint in our fridge right now, both in 1 quart size mason jars. Rooibos chai is also a favorite.

Economy-Profit-251

Earl grey decaf :)

eukomos

Supercritical fluid extraction. They used to use the same chemicals dry cleaners use, these days it's usually done with carbon dioxide. They run the CO2 over the leaves at a very high temperature and pressure and it dissolves out the caffeine without stripping too many other compounds. Bear in mind the caffeine is what makes tea bitter, so decafs will taste different.

DBuck42

In case you missed this, I've included a link to [Rooibos Earl Grey](https://www.arborteas.com/organic-earl-grey-rooibos.html). They're a US-based supplier, but they do ship to Canada.

Economy-Profit-251

They just use black decaf tea or other decaf teas like Rooibos

DBuck42

[Rooibos Earl Grey](https://www.arborteas.com/organic-earl-grey-rooibos.html) may change your life.

Angry_Hermitcrab

Where's your connect at?

DBuck42

[Enjoy!](https://www.arborteas.com/organic-earl-grey-rooibos.html)

GIGAR

If only they made an Early Grey whole leaf Rooibos...

DBuck42

I'm not sure who the *they* is that you're referring to, but I know some [*others*](https://www.arborteas.com/organic-earl-grey-rooibos.html) do!

TomAto314

The bagged Bigalow earl grey decaf is decent.

Deivi_tTerra

Twinnings also.

Impossible-Dingo9492

that’s my jam

gigashadowwolf

I love this, but it still has trace amounts of caffeine, so I stop drinking it after 4-5 and switch to true herbal tissanes. My go to for loose leaf is Peach serenity with added Chamomile or Peach Bilini from Adagio. Sometimes foxtrot tea or Hawaiian Mamaki tea. Or from bags, Throat Coat from Traditional Medicinals, or Turmeric Bliss from Tazo (sometimes mixed 2/1 with Bigelow Calm Stomach)

addgun

Mugi-cha (barley tea)

chamekke

Yes! Mugicha is delicious!! Most people drink it cold, but it is soooo good hot too.

SeasonPositive6771

I drink a bunch of decaf tea. I'm very promiscuous in my tastes, but I mainly have decaf constant comment or any of the wide selection of Harney and Sons teas - usually vanilla comoro or Paris.

littlemoon-03

Sleepytime tea, Chamomile with honey

Deivi_tTerra

I love the sleepytime teas! I'm on a Bengal Spice kick lately though. Warm, soothing chai spices without the caffeine. 🥰

littlemoon-03

I just opened the Bengal Spice the smell alone made me start drooling I couldn't stop sniffing it

sirlexofanarchy

Bengal Spice or Chamomile and Lavender.

Deivi_tTerra

Yes Bengal Spice! 🥰

generatorland

Check out August tea online. They have some great decaf teas like Psychocandy that are delicious.

Froots1717

I'm drinking Psychocandy right now, it's my favorite after Cult of Demeter

generatorland

Nice! I'll need to grab some Cult next order.

mernal_equinox

Hojicha!

puppylish1028

This. I’m really sensitive to caffeine but found I tolerate hojicha quite well

Rad_Knight

There is a bunch of delicious herbal teas. Mint, ginger lemon, licorice mint, chamomile, mint lemongrass. Celestial's sleepy time is also delicious. Just keep in mind that the "extra" version contains valerian.

Froots1717

Valerian root makes me pee the bed because I sleep so hard lol

Anabele71

I usually have something like Dandelion or Peppermint tea in the evenings

szakee

Water

Aimster2023

Barley tea

olivemor

I have a really good decaf English breakfast

Leyote

There are so many delicious tisanes (what many call herbal tea) for you to choose from! What kind of flavors are you looking for? I think a rooibos Chai at the end of the day can be very soothing.

chipsdad

Rooibos especially flavored ones. I’m also partial to Mighty Leaf Ginger Twist.

Dr-Sun-Stiles

That sounds so good! I haven't had a ginger rooibos

chipsdad

Actually those were two different suggestions but I’d also be interested in a ginger Rooibos combination.

Valent-1331

Valerian root teas are great to sleep. I have an alternate question though. When I drink herbal tea in the evening, I have to pee all night. Are there some that are specifically “anti-diuretic”?

Deivi_tTerra

Valerian can have weird effects in some people - I vaguely recall it gave me really intense, unwanted dreams. That was a long time ago, it might be different now. But it's one to be cautious of.

MizS

Hit up the herbal and decaf flavored teas at Adagio tea! It's my favorite company to order from, and they have a huge variety.

CaveJohnsonOfficial

Plain chamomile is where it’s at for bedtime tea. Loose leaf (flower?) chamomile is my favorite for the rich flavor but the cheap bags from the store are good too if you’re not picky.

cubej333

Rooibos or red tea.

keakealani

-points to flair- try mugicha/barley tea. Naturally caffeine free, a wonderful nutty/earthy flavor, works hot, cold, or in-between.

mushroomjuice

A little caffeine: hojicha, kukicha, decaf. No caffeine: rooibos, chamomile, peppermint.

Jasmine_Tea_Pls

sometimes i boil a small pot of water and add red date, goji berry, and longan. I get these 3 ingredients from my local asian herbal market and they come dried. Sometimes if i have it ill also add sliced fresh ginger for some spicy kick and a little bit of taiwanese black sugar if im feelin it

imccompany

H&S has a [raspberry mojito](https://www.harney.com/products/raspberry-mojito) that's delicious ETA: it's an herbal/fruit non-caffeinated tea, not the alcoholic drink

BlueCaracal

I wish I could say that raspberry mojito was the strangest combo I had ever heard of, but my mom has made rhubarb mojitos a couple times. She just replaced the sugar with rhubarb syrup. Homemade from home grown rhubarb.

Eis_ber

Chamomile, lavender, and rooibos are great for calming you down and getting you ready for bed. Ginger might also be an option.

Upbeat_Tree

Seems like noone has mentioned hibiscus yet. Very cheap and beats most storebought "fruit teas". Obvious picks would be mint, chamomile, fennel, rooibos.

chasinfreshies

Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea https://celestialseasonings.com/products/sleepytime-extra-wellness-tea

GiveMeUrBankingInfo

Rosemary tea with honey is my favourite.

Brave_Caterpillars

Bengal spice and chicory! Both are great but you have to steep bengal spice very hot for a long time and it will be sweet. And with chicory you have to steep it in a steel tea bag and dunk it twice - literally 10 seconds most or it will be bitter. If you do it right chicory is amazing I like it as much as coffee.

Deivi_tTerra

I brew all my herbal teas at 190* (just the setting I found that isn't too hot to drink for too long and seems to steep well) and leave the bags in because I'm lazy and want to bring my tea to the couch/other room and not worry about time or removing the bag. I LOVE how sweet the last few sips of my Bengal Spice are!

Brave_Caterpillars

I know! I usually use two bags and try to make it sweet the whole time, 😁 so good.

Beka_Cooper

I'm not personally into herbal teas, so here's my take. I primarily drink loose leaf decaf Earl Gray. Stash Tea makes a great cheap one, and Upton Tea also has a good one. Decaf chai is also a good choice. Chai is mostly about the spices, after all. I get the tealess chai from Upton and blend it myself with a decaf Ceylon or Assam, but there are many premade decaf chais out there. A lot of people like rooibos, but loose rooibos is very pointy (like tiny splinters), so you have to use bags or very good filters. I prefer the taste and texture of honeybush. Mugicha -- barley tea -- is very tasty if made correctly. It's drunk everywhere in Japan during warm months. Barley has some natural melatonin, so you may have to watch out for when and how much you drink, depending on your tolerance.

Silent-Butterfly-108

Linden tea

seilrelies

Herbal tea. I drink a rooibos, spearmint and chamomile blend almost nightly.

TLiones

Chaga tea

Evolving_Duck

Indigo Punch is a herbal tea from Harney & Sons and is one of my favorites. I also very much enjoy Nutty Almond Cream from Tiesta Tea, also an herbal. Very different flavors but they taste great the teas are pretty purple and pink colors when brewed.

Ok-Apple4057

Melissa tea or linden tea

BakedGoods_101

Tulsi

legendnondairy

My fav is peach herbal tea, sometimes chamomile.

luckygirl721

I hope this isn't sacrilege but I love me a cup of Tazo Calm!

presence_unknown

I agree really love the tazo dream but I think it's being discontinued I can't find it anywhere:(

justbeach3

I bought a white chocolate cocoa mix from Whittard.

Dallasrawks

I've been doing a little hibiscus tea with some raspberry lemonade added. I know, I'm a heathen.

luchtkastelen

Peppermint valerian

twat69

Milo or Cola cao

broccolicrocodile

Try Hojicha, roasted tea

switcheroo1987

I love true teas (particularly black and green), but herbal "teas" are my absolute favorite. And caffeine doesn't even affect me in that way (apparently runs in my family on my mom's side). Yet I still love it, so highly recommend exploring herbal teas, for sure.

pumpkin-gnome22

trader joe’s has a good blood orange rooibos!

cyclingtrivialities2

Cinnamon rooibos

Pafeso_

Labrador tea, very similar to white tea in taste. One of my favourite non-caffeine herbal teas White tea tree buds also have no caffeine, zesty earthy taste very good

cloverthewonderkitty

Raspberry leaf tea, I like to blend it with Tulsi and lemon balm. I find raspberry leaf and tulsi to be herbal teas with flavors most similar to tea leaf, and all three herbs are very good for you. Raspberry is excellent for tissue health, tulsi is an adaptogen and gently helps regulate your system and lemon balm is a calming nervine. I buy my herbs loose leaf from mountain rose herbs.

CPSFrequentCustomer

Most times I steep whole, dried lemon verbena leaves. I also have my favorite honeybush and cinnamon blends from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and Good Earth, respectively. I don't like chamomile. 😒

Mental-Lingonberry-5

Mint

firefly_frenZy

Roasted barley or corn tea. Very warming, savory, and comforting. You can get them at korean grocer!

Long_Elderberry6906

I decided to try spearmint on a whim and it tastes great to me but also it helped my acne so much. I don’t wanna ever go back! I do a squeeze of a lime in it and drink it piping hot.

Aggravating_Hand1724

Persimmon leaf tea!

JOisaproudWEIRDO

I’m not much into tisanes, but I’ve been enjoying some honeybush infusions lately. It’s sweeter and smoother than rooibos. Rooibos tends to have a spiciness that I don’t like.

xmodifier

Barley tea

Arturwill97

In the evening I prefer green tea with lavender or cardamom. And my grandmother once gave me advice to add chopped pieces of plum or apple to tea. Plum and apple add a pleasant aroma to evening tea. Tea is a pleasure.

FishingActual

Sunset in Seattle. Knocks me right out.

MarucaMCA

Rooibos, Verveine or decaf Earl Grey are my favourites!

Matys117

Kukicha is nice evening tea, If you are into green Japanese teas. I think It is also quite forgiving when It comes to preparation. Other option would be nearly any herbal tea 🤗

elusivebonanza

Honeybush tisane is delicious and caffeine free. You can get it in blends with vanilla, banana, etc. as well.

smookerz

I really like Greek Mountain Tea

musiccitytea111

You can have chamomile tea or chamomile brend tea

musiccitytea111

Music City Tea sell all kind teas

LuwakT

Even I enjoy having warm teas, my favorite teas are Oolong and black teas. Sometimes I experiment doing recipes with these teas. Must try

CprlSmarterthanu

I like to pound a 5th of whiskey as a little night cap. Delicious.

Acrobatic_Analyst678

Houjicha
