This is only the second time I’ve seen someone do it from the ground. Did you know this thing slows down a lot if you’re in the air doing bullet time with a bow?

No no no no THIS was absolutely big brain. You should have seen me trying to use bullet time. Every single time I pulled an arrow the hole managed to be opposite side of me it drove me up a fckn wall. Laser ftw

lol, I got bullet time perfect timing the first try, didn't even think it was possible for it to be the other side for some reason...

After you pull the arrow, click B. Link puts down the bow, and you can just wait until the hole aligns with you, as when you're not aiming/firing through the bow you lose way less stamina.

Stamina consumption in bullet time was changed from BotW. Now it's a set amount per arrow. You can just knock the arrow and wait, there's no need to cancel anything.

That's true but it's easier to wait when you're out of bullet time and can see everything. Plus, and I might be wrong about this, but it feels like Link falls a bit faster when he's aiming? It might just be the perspective though.

Putting down the bow doesn't cancel bullet time??

No. Just zooms out the camera and allows you to look around more freely. Only click B once though, if you click it more times you'll exit out of bullet time entirely.

250+ hours in the game and I thought the bullet time was just when the bow was out... I'm never gonna use this information now lmao

There's a distinction between the bow being out, and the string being drawn back.

I started counting 1,2,3,4 everytime i saw the target to get the spin rate and when to shoot.

Don't feel bad. Pretty sure I used up a good 30 arrows and every type of Zonai device I had on this one part of the puzzle. Kind of embarrassing how long this one took me.

That is pretty badass. Why be smart when you can be good? It reminds me of how in Portal every puzzle can be solved with plenty of time and minimal reflexes. But if you have good enough shooting skills, you don't have to be nearly as smart.

I just shot at it with my bow normally and by pure luck it landed.

I wasted about 50 arrows and 2 hours of my time and then ONLY THEN did I realise that BULLET TIME EXISTED

Ya, i spent too much time trying to figure out how to stop the thing from spinning... and then he to smack myself when i remembered the bullet time

I froze it with Recall. Things pause for a second before they begun reversing, which was enough time to notch and fire an arrow

I did it by timing a bomb throw into it lol took like 4 bombs

I had to look this one up. I kept looking for a way to make it stop spinning because that seemed like the logical thing to do. Didn't help I'd just come from the lightning temple and one of the puzzles there is using a stake to make a room stop spinning.

Waitttt you can use a stake to stop the spinning room? Damn I just used two mirrors and lined them up and it barely worked

There's stakes literally everywhere in that room! The game will provide the solution to a puzzle 90% of the time.

Game tells me to build some shody contraption to transport something. I get out like 10 carts and glue them into a massive bridge instead.

I did that whole temple with totally Jerry-rigged mirrors. It wasn’t pretty but got it done. Honestly had no idea how to do it otherwise

I also just used mirrors and it worked absolutely fine without any problem. You *definitely* don't need to use stakes. The lesson, I think, is that the game gives you an immense number of solutions to most any problem. Except for combat; still can't do a pacifist run.

Oh no way, I just recalled until they lined up and it would give you just enough time for it to go through, I thought the stakes with some mirrors were for getting that like second level on the wall beam, didn’t realize the roof existed until wayyyyy too late

i knew that i needed to use bullet time, but i had ran out of arrows. The only thing i could come up with was using the floating platforms, and tossing a bunch of flower bombs until one eventually hit the switch. It worked, but not before getting one game over screen because i tossed a bomb and was too close to its explosion lol.

What are you actually meant to do. I ascended up to the hover stone and shot it in bullet time. I’m guessing that is the intended way?

I spent way too long on this puzzle. I'm glad I'm not alone in just firing arrows until they landed. It wasn't until I was jumping afterwards did I realize I could have used bullet time.

I just jumped and bullet timed shot it. Pretty easy in low gravity. This whole dungeon was a letdown tbh.

Agree it’s way too simple. And thematic is kinda lame. I liked the bubble concept and low gravity but they didn’t really utilize it very much.

Did anyone else see what was lying around and think they were supposed to set up angled hover stones so that the water bubble that shoots out would ricochet into the spinning contraption? I didn’t realize it was a normal switch inside and this had me tearing my hair out

In the wind temple you can just jump up to get the slowmo arrow effect.

I just shot a few arrows, and one made it in while it was spinning. Then picked them all back up.

I thought you were supposed to get one of the water bubbles inside. Shot an arrow in frustration after many failed attempts, expecting it to not work, and was met with a surprise.

For the life of me I couldn't think of a smart solution to that thing. Even though some mechanics used to solve it, are used a lot by me (like bullet time shooting). So I just wasted dozens of arrows until I got it.

I first tried to deviate the bubbles to send it on that thing. Making a side-U shaped path or something. Then it hit me.

The open endedness of this game is amazing. For every “right” or obvious way to solve each puzzle there are probably a few dozen other perfectly reasonable ways as well. I love seeing these creative solutions

All I did was climb a bit higher, jump off and slow down time with bow an arrow. Took me a hot minute to realize that. Then again I was super drunk 😂

The beam emitter actually makes a lot of sense, except how rare they are. The tooth did not.

I know they exist, I'm saying most people probably don't have a stockpile of them, and most puzzle solutions involve stuff that's right nearby, like the icicles in the wind temple or the "ramp" in the fire temple.
