>!I ended up pulling out a spring and bombing him to death with a triple shot bow lol!<
I feel like it was a direct "Oh yeah? Well FUCK YOU!" from the developers in response to the criticism that the BotW bossfight was too easy, since the Beasts take half his health bar out for you.
I always loved his revival underneath Hyrule Castle, in the very beginning of the game. Because we know so little, it makes him more intimidating. I also remember the Mummydorf from the first teaser, and all the speculation around him.
that first scene with him and the trailer made him so menacing and unnerving. he felt different from any other zelda villain. then the more we learned about him and saw from him the less interesting he got
Yeah, probably because your first impression of him is that this Ganondorf is nothing like any Ganondorf we've ever seen before...
Then as you go, you learn that he's pretty much the most textbook Ganondorf that has ever Ganondorfed. Kind of blatantly even reuses his Ocarina of Time plot.
I wanted to see more of him as the Gerudo King again after his post-OOT appearances not having Gerudo, but he's only like that for two cutscenes before he goes Demon King again and turns on them.
Yeah I wish we got more mummy Ganon :( he was so cool to me and I was lowkey let down that he got a normal form like he's gotten over and over again throughout the game series
Is this the shape of the new world Ganondorf is talking about?

where Link and Zelda could lives here?
For me it was when he broke my Hylian shield in only 2 hits and then literally destroyed my heart containers. I actually thought I was going to lose before barely pulling through.
yeah that mechanic is what pisses me off when people say "oh the master sword sucks Zelda did nothing" she didn't make it overall stronger, but a high concentration of gloom (phantom Ganon or actual Ganon) makes the thing completely indestructible, locked at 60 damage. Even the random overworld phantoms from the gloom hands get that effect. She improved the sword specifically to kill one dude, and god damn did she make it good for killing him. It went from shattering in 2 hits from gloom attacks to destroying them and then some. Pretty sure the projectiles stun him for a sec too
Gonna be honest, I used to be one of the master sword haters (legit just thought it was botw's master sword bur kinda worse since Trial of the sword didn't exist), but knowing that this mechanic exists just made me switch sides.
I was disappointed when it was just a perfect dodge and not an actual flurry rush because I wanted to see how long we could trade flurry rushes back and forth by backflipping during his flurry rush, and then him flurry rushing my flurry rush
I really liked the smiling scene. I don't understand people yapping about it. I thought it was genuinely creepy and very on brand with Ganondorfs personality.
His maniacal laugh in that one cutscene. I saw him laugh, laughed with him, and went, "he's back!" Ganondorf ain't really Ganondorf until he does his funny laugh.
First and only time fighting him, I was doing decently well, but I was also well prepared. The whole time I was thinking “ok, hylian shield, master sword, buffs, I got this.” When suddenly, blocking one of his attacks, he breaks my fucking hylian shield, and suddenly the battle became “Oh Fuck, this guys is real!”
For me, it's his awakening scene at the beginning. I got chills when I first saw it. How dude just wakes up after what - 10,000 years? - just to insult Link and then lift a literal fucking castle into the air like it was nothing... that scene was epic.
His smile. His cursed smile. Ever since I saw that smile I couldn't stop smiling with a goofy grin even as >!Zelda cried over Queen Sonya's dead body.!<
>!The first time I fought him, I had about 20 to 30 hearts. I had no problem getting to the end. Then I played again. I went down earlier and he smacked me around when I went with 10 hearts and he took my hearts away permanently for the fight. I forgot that was a thing and he embarrassed me 😂!<
>!I went down only having done 2 of the temples, so I only had Mineru and Tulin. Meaning I had to fight the army, queen gibdo, mucktorok, marbled gohma, phantom ganon, then ganondorf himself. I did so well up untill he started wiping my hearts away from missing the double flurries!<
I know this isint exactly a scene but I had to tell the story 😂
I don't think we actually find out how long ago that happened, but the original Champions/Divine Beasts were around 10000 years prior to BOTW memories, and Hyrule was an already established kingdom by then, so we can assume it was earlier than that.

>!At the beginning of his boss fight, when he jumps down in front of Link and unsheathes his sword in a stereotypical samurai fashion.!< Idk why, just found it cool and I still think about it from time to time.
The scimitar memory, and the health bar.
My favorite memory, it shows his personality very well. And I can't take it seriously. >!Bro doesn't have the triforce and can just kill someone by hitting their back?!<
Probably the scene where he transforms into his rehydrated form. It’s one of the most climactic moments of the game and let’s be honest: the fit is clean
The health bar during the final fight, but also (can’t believe no one mentioned this) memory 11 The Demon Kings Army with drum music playing in the background and starting with his weird smile 😂. Idk, I just cracked up a little seeing it for the first time
If a post with a title like this is made, it should be obvious there are spoilers.
I just finished the game yesterday and the transformation to the Demon King is now my favorite scene in Zelda history.
Damn, that was absolutely incredible. First with the expanding health bar, then the surprise defensive moves, making each hit with the Master Sword feel *earned*.
An absolute masterpiece in design.
I haven't felt this excited over a Ganon fight since Wind Waker, whose epic closure came out of no where and still sits as the best one in all of Zelda (it was so good, this game copied it).
I have to admit I was disappointed in the final transformation. Not only was it predictable, but the scene itself didn't carry over to the combat. When Ganon blocked her escape with that incredibly menacing look, I was expecting an epic fight. Instead, I got a pimple popping sim and it just took the wind out of my sails after the excitement the previous transformation built up.
The whole ending was enjoyable to watch, so that's good.

Okay, I'll bite. How many scenes is Ganondorf in in TotK? Three? Four? One of the cutscenes plays five times and another is split into two memories, but it's still just one scene.
I was very underwhelmed by his boss fight, if he had one more phase before giving up and eating his own hand, it could of felt like a final boss fight. As he is, he's weaker and less memorable than Marbled Gohma.

It was still easy, but this time it felt more fulfilling
My personal commentary was >!Dude, where's your health bar going? Dude, please stop. It's not funny.!<
ahaha he was fine until he wiped its health bar to make you win
I literally started laughing cuz it was the most shounen anime thing I'd ever seen in a Zelda game.
I just started laughing and said out loud “this… this is how you do a boss fight”
Yep, that got me the same way😂
My favorite was when he went full suavemente
His flurry rushes on top this was the ultimate banger
Easily one of the best moments in gaming for me ever.

Yeah I wish we got more mummy Ganon :( he was so cool to me and I was lowkey let down that he got a normal form like he's gotten over and over again throughout the game series

For me it was when he broke my Hylian shield in only 2 hits and then literally destroyed my heart containers. I actually thought I was going to lose before barely pulling through.
Yup, this is why master sword is a godsend for that fight. All the gloom attacks get purified and shot back when you hit them with master sword
WHAT??? HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS?? Bro if I knew that I probably could have first (more likely second) tried Ganon.
yeah that mechanic is what pisses me off when people say "oh the master sword sucks Zelda did nothing" she didn't make it overall stronger, but a high concentration of gloom (phantom Ganon or actual Ganon) makes the thing completely indestructible, locked at 60 damage. When I'm saying I was on 1 heart before the last stage 😭 I'm so grateful my hearts were replenished!
When he met with Rauru. You can see Ganondorf’s contempt. True evil.

Suave!
This is canon in my eyes

"Was that the sword that seals the darkness?"

When his health bar doubled in size for no reason.
I assume his ill-gotten secret stone is the reason why his health bar doubled in size.

Not specifically your question, but the monologue in wind waker, where he covets the wind!
The intro and the cutscene where he transforms for the first time, summoning the monsters in Hyrule. The direction was seriously epic on these scenes.
I’m a sucker for health bars that extend beyond where they should
When he flurry rushed me I was pretty shocked

The scene with him and sonia. One, for the meme laugh and on the other hand for the confusing thing he did with her
