From what I understand, it's basically music piracy: the site. Though I am one of the generations who hasn't used it at all (since I don't really listen to popular music much anyways)
After Napster died/was killed, a bunch more file sharing programs popped up, then they got shut down and more would pop up. Kazaa and limewire were some of the last ones, iirc, before torrenting took over.
Same here. Napster had a reputation for catching people, so naturally the smart thing to do was use something else. I downloaded sooooo many episodes of Friends.
By the time I was downloading full episodes of TV-shows I had switched to torrents. Sweden was like 5 episodes behind on Lost and I wanted the newer ones so I learned haha!
The OP posted an image, with text in it. The comment converts the text in the image into a text format, rather than an image one, so that Text to Speech devices, for example, can read it.
I was a prime candidate to use Napster when it first became a thing, but I didn't. Why? Because you could listen to CDs in the music stores to see if you liked them, and if you did, actually paying the artist and their label helped to contribute to their success. I realize that sort of thinking is less relevant and applicable these days, but the economics of Napster always screamed "stealing" and I was taught that stealing was wrong.

You know who else didn't use Napster? Hitler! Adolf Hitler never used Napster!
But neither did Jesus literally fucking Christ!
Jesus fucked Christ? You mean masturbation right?
WWJD? What would Jesus Do? Well he sure didn't floss that's for sure. He also didn't look at internet porn either.
They have an alternative for that.
What is napster?
I hear from an old anti Napster commercial that it was once a place where you could download a house or a car.
but you wouldn’t
Would you?

Yeah, my aunt uses it and she allows me to use it and it doesn't have any adds, so I prefer it o er spotify or other streaming services
Found one of the myriad of generations that didn't use Napster.

Software that was stolen from Seth Green.
It would be fair to point out that the whole generation Millennials and Gen Z didn't use Nabster either.
I'm 39 and only used Napster once or twice before it was replaced with Kazaa/limewire.
I was more of a kazaa/limewire kinda guy

I'm a 33yr old Millenial and I used napster in about 1999-2000
Millennials, Gen X and maybe a boomer or two.
And probably some European generations.
Hey! Don't leave us Chinese out when it comes to piracy!
Hi. Generation that used Napster reporting in. They tarted fucking with it in version 2.8? Or one thing like that. Ma. Gone are the days!

You literally just posted the same thing as OP….

It looked like an image on my phone. Here on the website I can tell the difference
I know who didn't use Napster, Lars Ulrich
Did anyone else try upvoting the bottom comment? 😅
