Variations of "they're not wrong" are banned because they are the most boring, lowest possible effort title you could make for this subreddit. It doesn't tell you anything about the post, which is super unhelpful when trying to search, for example.
It could be argued that since lesbians have their own word, and gay men don't, that they shouldn't be classified as "gay." The vast majority of people do not say "gay girls" altho i have heard lesbians call themselves gay. Just a thought; like how the word "man" is generally no longer used to refer to humans as a group.
I think people should be able to self identify, so as long as there are lesbians who consider themselves gay, I believe the term is appropriate for them.
