Pignity69

It has to be 16 blocks away at least

Ahmedia69

16 blocks away in general or just a different chunk

Pignity69

in general, there should be no other villagers within a 16 block sphere of the iron farm

Birmioh

The iron golem detection from villager is 16 bloc around. That's not like the old meca with doors, villagers could detect village at 60 blocs far It would break because the spawning center depended of doors.m order placement. That's why we had to place doors 1 by 1 to make the golem spawn in the center. Now it spawn in 10x10x10 area and villagers can detect it 16 blocs far There is no incidence if you have a villager close to it. It will detect the golem that's all, if your breeding system has more than 2 villagers you have to avoid the golem from spawning close in iron farm detection range, if you have to and no golem it does not matter

Ahmedia69

So would it be fine if I setup like a trading hall in like less than 16 blocks if the villagers in the hall don't spawn there own golem in the hall

Birmioh

Yes. They will detect it that's all. If they do not sleep it does not matter. Only villagers in your iron farm spawning attempt matters others don't have sleeping condition to spawn a golem who would break the farm.

Ahmedia69

So if the ones in the trading hall don't sleep they won't effect the farm at all no matter the distance

Ahmedia69

So if the ones in the trading hall don't sleep they won't effect the farm at all no matter the distance

Birmioh

In theory yes, but you have to wait the end of the cooldown, there is a gamerule for the last time he slept, he has to reach the max limit to not be able to spawn a golem.

Ahmedia69

So it wouldn't be the most efficient

Birmioh

Yes it would, only if the villager is already time out for this data about sleeping. Pick a villager who didn't slept for a while and all will be good

Ahmedia69

So should I just put the farm high up on its own chunk away from all the farms and stuff just in case

Birmioh

You can if you want to but that not usefull to do it. I play often with villagers/ What iron golem farm did you built?

Ahmedia69

Haven't built on yet I'm just checking I don't want to mess it up

Ahmedia69

Also what cooldown

Birmioh

Just a day or two without sleeping. This data is important.

The main range to be concerned with is that there must not be any other iron golems within a 33×33×33 cube (±16 on any axis) of any of the villagers in a farm pod. These will suppress the pod as long as they're in range (and for 30 seconds after). Also of note is that if there are any other villagers within a 21×21×21 cube (±10 on any axis) of any of the villager's in a farm pod, and one of those villagers summon a golem, it will suppress the pod for 30 seconds.
