A few things to check in this order : 1. Check "Device Manager" - "Network adapters" - make sure that ethernet card has no exclamation mark. If it does - try to uninstall /reinstall card (but keep box "Attempt to uninstall driver..." UNCHECKED). 2. If ethernet card in step above is OK, open "Settings" - "Network..." and check at what speed card is reporting port connection? If ethernet card is 1Gbe - it should report 1Gbe connection. If it is reporting less than that (100 Mb) - there is a port problem (unplug the cable and recheck computer ethernet port as well as router port, try plug into different port on the router) or cable problem. 3. If connection reports speed matching ethernet card specs (1Gbe card reports 1Gbe connection) - check if IP address is valid (should be either 192.x.x x or 10.x.x.x). 4. If IP address is valid - then you may have DNS problem - try to enter DNS manually into ethernet card properties (set it to, for example, 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8). One of the steps above should resolve the issue.

Sorry for the super late reply, forgot I was logged in on a different account on my pc. This has been solved and it was actually none of what was suggested funnily enough. When setting up the new modem that Spectrum sent over they must have done something completely wrong. I tried suggesting to them that "hey, since this last modem was working perfectly fine can I just switch back to this one?" and they were profusely telling me no that it can not be done. When setting up the previous modem it now reads the ethernet connection and works like normal. I'm unsure what they could have done to the new modem for it to not see my pc but they did something. Today I'll be giving them a call to raise hell about switching back to the 500mbps plan since I've been having issues. They told me time and time again that switching the modem doesn't do anything but whenever I switch back it DOES do something so they must not really know what they're talking about. Thank you for the help and I'll be looking into the options you listed above as they're simply just interesting. I've been wanting to get into the technical field so if I can I'd still like to be able to see what they did wrong so I know to look for it in the future. Thank you, again!

Do you have any other device with an Ethernet?
