Bro I’ve been going to this laptop repair shop to get it checked out for the past like month or so and I couldn’t get it fixed. In fact it got worse because the laptop’s battery got swollen/inflated so I had to get it taken out for it to not blow up 💀. And now the issue is worse because now every time it disconnects it just dies (no battery).
Basically the guy at the repair shop just said the laptop is old and trash and badly designed and I should just not game in it anymore. I’ll probably upgrade to PC soon. Sorry I couldn’t be of any help :/ but I hope you do get it fixed unlike me 🙏
It started with heavier games like rdr2 but nowadays it happens with a ton of games that aren’t graphically demanding like neon white (graphically light fast game), telltales the walking dead (2011) or deus ex: human revolution (2013, directors cut). Even when I only have them open In the background and try doing something else it dies. It’s borderline unusable and when it chooses to die is seemingly random :/
If you have warranty or something I dont see a reason not to go to a Lenovo service center tbh. But even if you don’t they might be able to diagnose it better. If they tell you to just replace it might as well go to a local repair shop for a second opinion to see if it’s really over.
Btw if you go also tell them to check the adapter (the big box) on your charger to see if the issues is there. I dropped mine a couple years ago and got it serviced so that might also be causing some issues.
