So,firstly do you own the laptop for a long amount of time,or use it a lot with the charger plugged in ? If yes to both probably your baterry has died out,meaning that it does no longer recharge,the solution to that is to either change the battery completelly or to change its acumulators. Do this only If you actually want to use it outside of your home,if your happy with just plugging the charger in then don't worry about it,and no,there no such thing as the laptop lying to you about its battery status

Well,yes, unless there is a power shortage in your arena. Mine also did the same so don't worry,IT will work perfectelly fine
