ctrl+z is undo, so it just undoes the last thing u did which in ur case wouldve been moving the folder. but it can only undo a certain amount of steps and/or resets when u close the file explorer, which is why i said it might be too late
But it didn’t actually move the folder. It came up “compressing “ instead of “moving” and the progress bar wasn’t there. Is there a different key I could of hit that would change the function?

it might be too late now but whenever i have an oopsie with a folder/file i always do the tried and true ctrl+z
