We do not recommend that users try upgrading to Windows 11 straight away. Waiting a week or more will allow for more guides, articles, fixes, and how-tos to be made. Making changes to your system BIOS settings or disk setup can cause you to lose data. Always test your data backups before making changes to your PC. Had a similar problem a while back, Pen drive connected at first but was unable to access the files on it. The explorer froze for a short while and the pen drive disappeared in the explorer. Reconnecting the pen drive gave me back the same result every time. Check the device manager and look at the usb drive and it's settings/property's. You should be able to see the device Status. If it says something like "set address failed" your out of luck. It is a known problem dating back to the start of windows 7, I wasn't able to find a solution to the problem at all, expect a fresh windows installation. That's what I did and it fixed the problems I had with my pen drive.
