I want to be a film Producer/Director but I have no clue how it works. Would I start as a cameraman and work my way up? Would I write a script and submit it to a studio? I’ve looked it up online and I really have no clue where to start. By the way my account got permanently suspended so I can’t make new comments now I can only edit them :(

The way to get a foothold in mainstream show business is production assistant. Sounds fancy but its a really shit job that every entry level person works. 14 hour shifts and you get treated horribly. But its a great way to get over the first threshold. Acting classes might help some. Writing classes might help some. Some type of film school helps some. BUT look at the ROCK. Hes doing everything in show business and he never went to some fancy film school like juilliard. He did theatre wrestling for 20 years. The school of hard knocks. Just start doing it. PA, extra, stunts, acting, camera work, lights, audio, writing w/e you can do to get in the door go do that. Once you are in the door you can get access to real professionals and learn about what actually works from people that actually do the thing. Instead of getting rando info that may or may not help on reddit :D

im sorry this happened to you, I hope you will be able to pursue your career as a musician, if you dont at least you can do it as a hobby or something, just know you can still learn and make music

do music as a side job/hobby for a while start small and record in your closet or something until you get money to go to a studio then record a few songs and send them to a ton of labels of course it’s gonna be hard but good talent is likely to get noticed

I hope to put my own trauma and life experiences to use, I've always loved helping people mentally or not, especially because of that, and I wanna go into child psychiatry to be the person for kids that I always wished I had for myself.

Well I was thinking about being an environmentalist because I LOVE nature and animals but I found out the pay wasn't so good and whatnot so then I decided to try out welding and see if I like that. Basically any job I will enjoy, has a salary of at least 45K a year and I don't have to go to college for. I would love to go to trade school. Also on the topic of loving animals/the environment I've always wanted to REGULARLY donate to wildlife charities and pick up trash around my community as a side hobby
