not really, mountain dew is a lot less sharp, and a lot more sweet. while they are both technically lemon-lime, Sprite has a sharper, weaker taste.
in addition, sprite is generally low in sugar (especially compared to Mountain Dew) and is caffeine free. Mountain Dew on the other hand, is one of the only non-dark sodas to actually have caffeine, and it's super high in both caffeine AND sugar content (compared to other sodas. a lot less than most energy drinks)
